The entire #HEAFNYC community mourns the passing of General Colin Powell. A trailblazer, role model for our students, and friend of HEAF, General Powell cheered the loudest for our high school graduates as they prepared for college – the first in most of their families to attend. His words to our 2020 high school graduates were inspirational, supportive and humble, a mirror of the grace and dignity with which General Powell always carried himself.
That’s a wrap on #SummerQuest 2021! #HEAFNYC students had an action packed summer of both virtual and in person activities - including academic enrichment, cooking and art classes as well as field trips all over NYC. We look forward to seeing everyone again next month when fall programing begins!
