Thank you to all who attended the convention last weekend! All in all, it was quite the successful event! Full Classroom and great information on the first day...Day 2 for on the water training! And, even though these events are designed to educate Anglers...we still managed to put 8 hatchery and 2 Wild fish to the net! The Wild Steelhead were placed in to a special pen for Broodstock purposes which we learned about the day before! Thank you again, Everyone!!! And now...on to planning the Spring Chinook Convention!

The Next installment of our NW Angler's Conventions will take place January 6-7th, 2018 & will be focused on how to target Winter Steelhead from the Boat and from the Bank!

Day One will be in the classroom for a full day of lectures from our speakers. Attendees will receive a grab bag filled with gear and discounts as well as a fully Catered Lunch! The Springer Convention wrapped up this afternoon! We could not have asked for better weather on the water today or for such an informational and productive day yesterday in the classroom! Thank you to All attendees and congrats to those who were lucky enough to find a few early Springers today on the water during class! Cody's boat lost 1 this morning, and Brandon...trolling upstream to slow his presentation...went 2/3! Time to start putting in serious effort chasing these Early Chinook!

First and foremost, THANK YOU for the support! These events would absolutely not happen without your interest and belief that these events are worth your valuable time and money! As such, we believe we have put together a FANTASTIC event for this weekend!
With Springers ALREADY being caught on the Willamette and Columbia, our timing could not be more perfect! Sunday is meant for teaching on the water...but we have a legitimate chance at catching some fish as well! Last year, we kept 2 Spring Chinook during classes. Let's see if we can top that this year!

0930-1030: Jarod Higginbotham - Plug Fishing Tutorial
1100-1200: Cameron Black - Anchor Techniques & Fishing from Warrior Rock Downstream

1400-1500: Bill Monroe Jr. - Bank fishing techniques for the Willamette and Columbia Rivers

STORE: Fish Field, located in Tigard next to Stevens Marine, will be on-site with specific products that are discussed by our speakers. The NWAC and Fish Field have worked with our sponsors and partner Manufacturers to offer TONS of great deals only found here at the events! ALSO...Fish Field will be offering up bait orders at a discounted rate for purchase by the tray or by the case of Herring and Anchovies! Load up on bait for the year!!! Fish Field will have Rods, Reels, Line, Hooks, Terminal Gear, Flashers, Lures, Spin Glos, Bait, Cures, Brines and so much more! We are excited to continue the "Store" concept wherever possible after its huge success at the Buoy 10 convention last year!

Classes:
Each Attendee will be able to choose 2 CLASSES to attend! We will be offering a course on: Boat Trolling Techniques, Boat Anchoring Techniques & Bank Fishing Techniques! Each course will be hands on training by our speakers and instructors! Last year's event saw equal interest in every class! With this year being a potential High-Water year...Even the boat anglers may want to consider taking the Bank Fishing Course! See below for details and Info:

Schedule:
Classes will run from around 7am to to around 4pm. We will do our best to accommodate everyone's schedule! Each class will last around 90 minutes to give each attendee ample time to discuss the techniques and get specific answers from the instructors! We intentionally have the classes take about 4 hours in total, leaving the rest of the day to either work on techniques with your own boat or bank equipment brought to the Sunday Class location...or, just head home and review the information given over the past 2 days and spend time with the family before another hectic work week!

Classes to Choose From:

Boat Trolling- This class will cover boat control (very important for Springers), reading your electronics, rigging, troll speeds, what water to look for, what to do when a bite occurs and much more! This course will be taught by Brandon Glass And Jack Glass from Team Hook Up!

Boat Anchoring- In the course, we will cover what structure to look for in find a productive anchoring spot, how to safely anchor around other boats and pilings, rigging, creating a spread, bait wraps, choosing the right lures and much more! This class will be taught by Cody Herman of Day One Outdoors and Cameron Black from Gone Catchin' Guide Service.

Bank Plunking- This will be a valuable course for all Fishermen! This is because with the high water, the information will apply to bank and boat anglers alike! Learn how to set up triple rigs, plugs on sliders, choosing the right bait for the water conditions and much more! This course will be taught by Bill Monroe Jr.!
