It’s almost the time of year again for our Christmas crafternoon!

On behalf of the fellowship at Church on the Weald, we just wanted to send our appreciation to everyone who expressed their kind words and thanks (in person and on social media) when we were able to provide cups of tea for the long line of people who were waiting for their covid and winter ‘flu jabs in Tenterden last Sunday morning.
To be honest we didn’t arrive at church with a plan to provide teas for as many people in the queue as possible, it was that we just saw everyone lined up right across the gateway to the junior school where we hold our church services on Sunday mornings and simply said “we need to help as best we can”. From the responses we’ve had this week, we are pleased to have helped.
We are also grateful for the feedback we’ve had from the practice manager and other staff at Ivy Court – thank you!
Although Church on the Weald was set up in 2012, we have only been meeting at Tenterden Junior School since the end of July and we would be delighted if anyone would like to join us at our family church services. We start with tea and coffee (and often cake!) at around 10.15am – it’s better than standing in the road outside!
We are also pleased to announce that we will be opening a “drop in” Community Support Centre in the town before the end of the year. We will circulate more details once the lease is signed.

Tomorrow we will be gathering as church at 11am at St Michael's Village Hall, Grange Road, Tenterden, TN30 6DU instead of our usual location. We will be celebrating together as we baptise people and also give thanks to God for new babies born into our church family!

Media - Church on the Weald

When we are still and surrender to God, we can know complete peace even when the earth gives way and the mountains fall (verse 2 of Psalm 46). We often let busyness take precedence in our lives and it can become overwhelming. But remember Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” So run to Jesus, tell Him about your problems and acknowledge that He is God.

Who'd have thought England would get this far?! 😁 We're pretty excited that we're through to the quarter finals and we figured instead of getting together to play footie on Sat afternoon, that it might be nice to watch England play instead! ⚽ So we've made the difficult decision to postpone our Activity Afternoon and we are planning to reschedule for September. So keep a lookout for updates and we hope you enjoy the match on Saturday!
