So papa told me: “As Long as Your Heart is at the Right Place”.
I guess a lot is going on.
Memories of the Provence enveloped in a lasting lavender parfum - I long for that summer light to return.
This little work will be the connection to new small new series that explores the meaning of Vows and Promises. “ForNever and Ever” sets the tone.
A Heart of Gold” A theme that always returns in my work since several years now. It refers to my papa’s heart because he had a heart of gold - his kindness was boundless. This image shows the front of the work. However I treat these little stories with a transparant approach; front/ sides / and back are all connected and part of the whole message or imagery. To have an idea about the scale; this work is about 8CM diameter. I will post also the other sides of the work. I hope it reminds you about that special person in your life who has that golden heart. 💛.

Some new little stories. I will show more in detail this week. These are part of a larger series of work. A collection of small stories, memories, quotes, feelings and thoughts. All set in resin into glass petri dishes. The collection continues to grow. It has been a slow process but very close to my ❤️.

The blue took me by suprise against the copper metal tray.
“ The Burning Bush” - Burning but not consumed by the flames : my favourite new work so far. ( see also little print at extra photos).
write a caption : “I hope they talk for themselves “. 🙏🏻😊
wishing you all a beautiful peaceful 2023💝
A Heart of Gold - preparation part 2:childhood
Part 2: CHILDHOOD - pieces assembled and ready to be fixed in their glass dishes
I think it shows that I enjoyed working towards the pieces for part 2: Childhood. I am looking forward puzzling these together 💕
Never say Forever -
I so enjoy bringing all the small pieces together. This is just how I work. I collect; first for many weeks/ months in my mind. Then I find or look for things that catches my eye, touches my heart, triggers something. I collect collect make make and then finally, eventually, I connect them together. I find the effect of repetition very relaxing although not one piece is the same. The onset is experimental and spontaneous but the assembling is disciplined and organised. More to come 🙏🏻
Before and After ❤️
Ready to de-mould. Always an exciting moment in the process. results in upcoming posts soon 🙏🏻.
part 1 Installation project: “LOSS”.
it’s a start
Good morning from tropical London 🤓 I guess the new colours and combination show my state of mind!
Starting a tasting menu for my new work “Aan Tafel” - experimenting with new resin materials.
Mental sketch until I can pour it all out.
Developing ideas. Counting down the weeks so I can finally start putting all the pieces together. A sketch will do for now to offload my overcrowded mind. 🤓
A TABLE: a new summer installation. I am preparing the menu at this stage. A lot of different ingredients will be gathered. Is there a particular dish you would like to see at this table? Share your ideas in the comments 😊🙏🏻. This installation has been brewing for a while in my mind. Summer is my time to make it happen. So watch out for these coming months 🥳.
My morning Zen moment: un-moulding 60 smooth, shiny, in the deepest blues, domes😊. I enjoy the whole process; from mixing the colours and resin, dripping pouring, seeing it create its own bleeding patterns. The waiting and the satisfying feeling when they appear out of the silicone moulds.
The colour of the day is
Weekend Vibes- sunshine, dreamy shapes, heavenly colours, soothing. All in one little tray 😊.
Some new parts and colours! Ready to be connected ! Watch my post tomorrow for the final 5 pieces 😊
