Tozier Dairy
It was 1948 when Clayton and Faith Tozier purchased an already established dairy in Covina.
For the first 10 years they sold milk products wholesale to other retail dairies in Southern California. In 1958 they went retail, offering the growing city of Covina a local dairy where fresh products could be purchased. My uncle Dick who had returned from serving in World War II in Europe with earning a Purple Heart, worked part time for many years but joined full time around 1952 until the
Summer heat brings dairy memories of ice cold fruit punch, which was made on-site, and ice cream bars! My favorites bars were the giant drumsticks and the orange sherbet & vanilla 50-50 bars!! What were your favorites?
These pics always remind me of spring time on the dairy!
T’is the Season!!
Happy Friday!! Here is an aerial photo of the Tozier Dairy property from about 1948. The long driveway would have come from the top left, see the old wash, up to the old house and barns. The circular driveway was added in 1955 when the business went from wholesale to retail.
Today reminds me of a 1949 Tozier Dairy pic of a rare snow day in Covina! Maybe again one day!?!?
Merry Christmas to all from the Tozier Family!!
“The angel said, “Don’t be afraid! Look! I bring good news to you—wonderful, joyous news for all people. Your savior is born today in David’s city. He is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11

Just some of the wonderful employees over the years of Tozier Dairy!
Horses were always on the Tozier Dairy property over the years!
You can only imagine how much hay and grain 150 cows would consume each month! Timely deliveries from two local providers.
