The Fertility Kitchen
Helping you to optimise your fertility through nutrition and lifestyle. Fertility. Food. Life.
We believe that empowering women to take control of their fertility will help them to optimise their chance of conception. We provide nutrition advice, translating this into healthy, nutrient-dense recipes and lifestyle advice to promote optimal fertility.
The Fertility Kitchen: The essential guide to supporting your fertility provides fertility nutrition advice and the practical steps to put that advice into practice. It's a resource to empower you to take ownership of your fertility through positive nutrition and lifestyle changes. I believe food is the key to laying the foundations for optimal fertility, IVF success and healthy pregnancy. The Fertility Kitchen provides over 90 delicious and nutritious recipes to help improve your nutrition for optimal fertility.
When I was navigating infertility I felt powerless and completely out of control and I realised that although I couldn't control whether or not we conceived, I did have the power to take ownership over how I cared for and nourished my body, I could prioritise myself and my health.
My philosophy isn't about controlling food in a negative or restrictive way, it's about health empowerment, abundance and and encouraging positive action on a journey that can be incredibly difficult. No restriction, no judgment, no fads. Just healthy, delicious and accessible recipes and intuitive eating.

What's for dinner tonight? If you're stuck for ideas, how about this spiced salmon traybake? It's one of my most popular recipes and for good reason - it's packed with flavour and simple to make. Using only one pan is an easy way to bring a delicious meal to your table fast, with the bonus of less washing up!
Salmon is one of my top fertility superfoods because it's brimming with nutrients that support optimal fertility and pregnancy. One such nutrient is essential fat, which is important for hormone health, cellular function and lowering inflammation. Essential fats are also vital for foetal brain development, particularly in the first and third trimester.
Seafood is also a good source of iodine, which is necessary for thyroid function and foetal brain development. Iodine deficiency in the mother in pregnancy is associated with lower IQ in infants. It is important to ensure adequate intake before pregnancy, making iodine a key nutrient when trying to conceive. Include iodine rich foods in your diet such as seafood, dairy, eggs and seaweed and make sure you prenatal multivitamin includes iodine.

I am deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty The Queen and extend my heartfelt condolences to The Royal Family. Reflecting with gratitude and admiration for an extraordinary lifetime of service. 🖤
The three peaks challenge! I’m raising money for and doing this challenge in memory of my friend ‘s beautiful baby girl Siena Lori Neve Furneaux who was born sleeping on Saturday 15th October 2016. When I signed up to the challenge I posted on Facebook and got a message from my friend Bex who said she was also signed up on the same day with the same company with some other fab people Rachel Cath and Becky completely random. Completely brilliant! If you want to donate you can find the link in my stories, I’m hugely grateful for your support. This pic is me at the summit of Ben Nevis earlier today. We’re on route to Scafell Pike and it’s absolutely pouring, we start the ascent around 6:30pm ish. then we’ll start Snowdon around 2:30am 😬 Wish us luck!!! I’m thinking of Siena every step of the way and all the babes (including mine) that we hold in our hearts but not in our arms. Every baby lost is one too many Charlotte 💕
Green shakshuka from The Fertility Kitchen, page 130. I included this recipe in the breakfast section as I encourage you to enjoy eggs for breakfast, but really it’s a quick way to get a very nutritious meal on the table super speedily at any time of day.
:
A twist on a traditional Middle Eastern dish, this shakshuka makes the most of those all-important greens. It looks quite impressive but is very easy to make and includes a yummy super-green pistachio and walnut pesto which can also be used in my summer vegetable tray bake on page 187. It’s also a fab way to jazz up scrambled eggs.
:
I’ll show you how easy it is to make this nutritious meal, live from The Fertility Kitchen tomorrow morning. Hopefully it will become a firm favourite! Charlotte 💕👩🏼🍳
:
I’ve put together this light and summery meal plan for a week of nutritious eating. Swipe left to see how beautiful (and yummy) your week could look. The recipes are either on my website (link in bio) or in my book.
:
Meal plans are at the top of the list of things I get asked for, so hopefully this will provide you with inspiration. If you look back at previous cooking & conversation lives I’ve done, you’ll find lives for the spicy burrito bowl, Thai salmon cakes and spiced-salmon tray bake if you want to see how to make them. All are quick and easy recipes that you can bring to the table within half an hour.
:
Let me know if you make any of the recipes and which one you enjoy the most! Charlotte 💕👩🏼🍳

A day of nutritious eating from The Fertility Kitchen. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and sweet treat…
:
Breakfast: Cinnamon omelettes with berries and cream, page 127.
Lunch: Chicken Caesar with smoky chickpeas and soft-boiled eggs, page 159.
Dinner: Easy weeknight curry, page 169.
Sweet treat: Dreamy chocolate tahini brownies, page 214.
:
My approach focuses on abundance, not deprivation, which hopefully you can see from this video. You can still eat delicious food when you’re looking to support your health and fertility. It’s not miserable or boring and I hope that comes across. I bloody love food and when I create recipes I’m always focused on maximising flavour while packing in as many fertility-supportive ingredients as possible. After all, if it doesn’t taste amazing, why would you eat it?! I hope I can help you to find a balanced and sustainable approach to eating for fertility and for life.

🎉 IT’S PUBLICATION DAY!! 🎉
The Fertility Kitchen: The essential guide to supporting your fertility is out today! I couldn’t be prouder.
:
This represents so much! Two years bringing the book to the world, over six years of study (nutrition & acupuncture) and almost ten years in private practice, hundreds of wonderful clients who put their trust in me to support them on their journeys, and last but definitely not least, years of infertility, 3 fresh rounds of IVF, 1 FET, a chemical pregnancy, a missed miscarriage and my two miracles who inspired me to write this book so that I could help make others’ journeys that little bit easier.
:
I had the dream for this book in 2015 and it’s finally here! It’s completely surreal and a definite pinch me moment.
:
If you’ve ordered it please share a photo of the book to your stories so that I can thank you. It means the world. Charlotte 💕
:
Publication day is just around the corner and I’m nervous and excited! I’m thankful to every one of you who orders my book, it feels surreal.
:
There’s still time to pre-order and enter the pre-order competition (closes midnight 22 June). Have a look at my stories for all the fab brands participating and the wonderful prizes they’ve donated to the prize bundle which is worth over £1000. It’s a fabulous prize that will help you get started with my recommendations and recipes straight away.
:
The book is split into two halves: half nutrition and lifestyle advice (super practical and actionable) and half recipes (over 90) that are simple and most importantly, delicious. I’ve been cooking from the book for the last couple of weeks and it’s been varied, colourful and incredibly tasty. I’ve made all the recipes many (many, many) times now and am confident that you’ll love them.
:
➾ Link to pre-order in my bio. Not long to go!!! Charlotte 💕👩🏼🍳
:
Sending love to everyone who needs it today. 💕
Eeeeeeee! It’s less than a week until publication and I’m just a little bit excited! I’ll be going live later today to answer some questions that I’ve had about the book including, does the book cover male fertility, are the recipes suitable if you’re gluten free and are there any vegetarian recipes. Let me know if you have any questions! Charlotte 💕
:
If you’re joining us for cooking and conversation tomorrow these are the ingredients you’ll need. Why not take a break and cook yourself a nourishing lunch? The burgers are quick and easy to make, as usual I recommend preparing all the ingredients before you get started (chopping etc) and have everything in bowls ready to go. This is how I like to work as it takes the stress out of cooking.
:
See you tomorrow at 12pm live on Instagram. Charlotte 💕👩🏼🍳
:
I’ll be cooking these delicious salmon burgers with Eloise from live on Thursday 16th June at 12pm for cooking & conversation. These salmon burgers are equally perfect for lunch or dinner. I’ll post the ingredients list tomorrow if you want to cook along. Hope you can join us. Charlotte 💕👩🏼🍳

Cooking & conversation will be this Thursday 16th June at 12pm. I’ll be joined by Eloise, founder and CEO of and we’re going to cook Thai salmon burgers with Thai-style cauliflower rice, a delicious lunch recipe from my new book, The Fertility Kitchen (out 23 June and available to pre-order now, link in bio).
:
Eloise and her husband have three young s***m donor conceived children, as her husband is infertile due to Klinefelter Syndrome. Eloise created her platform to support the fertility community with all the holistic expert knowledge and resources she wishes she and her husband had at the time of going through IVF with s***m donation.
:
This will be an interesting conversation and fun cook along. The salmon burgers are quick, easy and big on flavour. I hope you can join us! Charlotte 💕👩🏼🍳

If you’re joining me and tomorrow for our cook along these are the ingredients you’ll need for the rainbow pad Thai. If you don’t have the exact veg that’s ok, just use what you have!
:
We’re cooking at 11am BST which is a little early for lunch in the UK but it will reheat later in the day so you can have it for lunch or dinner. Or watch the replay and cook along then. Hope you can join us! Charlotte 💕
:
Join me and fertility coach this Thursday at 11am BST for a live cook along where we will be making this beautifully colourful rainbow pad Thai.
:
Eating the rainbow is important for supporting both female and male fertility as the nutrients provided by the different colours are antioxidants that help protect egg and s***m cells from damage.
:
If you struggle to eat enough veg or you tend to stick to the same types then give this recipe a go. The spicy almond sauce that goes with it is next level delicious! I recommend adding a cooked protein of your choice to this dish; chicken, prawns or beef will work well. You could also scramble a couple of eggs into the mix, or add tempeh if you’re vegan. Tempeh will soak up the delicious flavour of the sauce.
:
➾ Get the full printable recipe via the link in my bio or via my stories for the next 24 hours. Looking forward to cooking this with you on Thursday! Charlotte 💕👩🏼🍳😍
