This page is a running photographic and sometimes verbose commentary on my life and loves. You Are Extraordinary
Genesis 1:27 My story is your story. People.
Enter my mundane world and find some extraordinary within the commonplace, at your leisure. People are beautiful and vital. Let me explain:
Years ago I was a part of a missions team with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). Our base was located in the South of England. During one of our particularly emotional lectures the speaker implored us to picture our surroundings with new eyes, like God might
Today on the water. Every summer for the past several years I try to take my girl on the ferry to Kingston and grab an ice cream at Mora. Sometimes we take a friend, sometimes it's just us. Today she had a friend so I got 5 minutes to just enjoy the sound of the waves on the bow. I took others with the G9 as well. I'll get those posted later.

This is for .... YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. :)
Boop!
There is such beauty in old buildings. I love the lines and chaotic symmetry in this one.

See each photo. Love old school British phone boxes. I was about to take a few photos of this one with a very old rotary phone inside. So cool!

I took my girl in for teeth surgery today and I was left waiting for a couple of hours. Praying... and keeping the family aware of goings on. The building is gorgeous so I walked around a bit and took some photos. This one is more abstract.
Which is better, black and white or color?

This is the difference just a couple minutes can make in the light.

After the rain. This is why the PNW is so lush and beautiful.

Seeing creation as miraculous doesn't take a lot of effort. It just takes opening your eyes.

The PNW is seeing the smallest semblance of Spring. Don't you just love a daisy?

This may seem a little busy but it's a glimpse into my life. Here we are Mom, daughter, dog, and book. This is our evening ritual. And this is the very first book I ever read by Steven R Lawhead. It's such a special gift to be able to share this with my girl.
A few hours in the city... Used to frequent Seattle but things change as you get older. Seattle is not the same as it once was. Still, though, I do love to visit on the rare occasion and see these beautiful buildings and experience the people. I do miss the old Seattle. Sometimes you can get a small glimpse of what it used to be.
This week I got to spend some time with some beautiful people that I know. Ms. Vonda here has always documented events. I have known her for years and she is in her 90s now and can't see as well as she used to. But taking a snapshot at the end of our visit was the most important thing. She and her husband Bill are inspirations to so many. Their love of Jesus is sweet and permeating. I may have gone to help them out but I'm the one who benefited from the trip.
I have been going through old photos and trying to digitize them. This one of my brother was taken ages ago with an antique Kodak 120 medium format lovely little camera. I forgot to advance film and had a happy little accident. If you look in the tree directly above you can see my brother's smile in it. This is been one of my favorites for years!
What is one to do? The kennel isn't even locked.

I am amazed by those that can stack rocks... And they stay? How does that work?
I have the best friend in the whole wide world. She's willing to goof and that makes me happy.
