Performance is often considered part of the artistic process – a goal, a result, a measure of accomplishment. However, such an item is also often accompanied by feelings of nervousness and anxiety. However prepared we may be, we cannot always avoid the proverbial stomach butterflies, particularly in this post-COVID age. Through this presentation, BSU faculty member and Licensed Body Mapping Educator Dr. Amanda Moreno will share information and insights about ways to acknowledge and even manage such anxiety. These insights can be helpful for musicians, actors, dancers, even visual artists.

Happy Holidays from NAfME! This Saturday, NAfME will be hosting a Hoosier Holiday Caroling Event! We will be walking around caroling to great holiday/Christmas songs! Hot chocolate will be provided, so come on out!! We will meet at the Jacobs Fountain at 1pm! Where any holiday colors and come out to spread some holiday cheer so all Hoosiers can really hear! 🎄❄️
COME ALL OF YA and join in a fun-filled night with BOOMWHACKERS!! As the semester comes to an end soon, what better way to relieve stress then playing Boomwhackers! Dr. Draper will lead this session, talking about the boomwhackers, how inexpensive they are for a classroom, and how they could be used in a music classroom! Majority of the time will be making music with this fun instrument! This will be held on Tuesday, November 28th in Simon 356! All are welcome!!

Next Sunday, November 5th in the East Studio Building, from 1-2:30 NAfME will be there to help you with next semester scheduling! Join us NEXT Wednesday for CREATING INCLUSIVE PARTICIPATORY MUSICAL EXPERIENCES THROUGH SINGING MASTERCLASS!! This Masterclass is run by Dr. Julia Shaw, and will be held from 7:30-8:30 in the Music Addition (round building) in room 004. In this masterclass, we will explore how to plan and facilitate singing experiences that are open to anyone regardless of current skill level or prior singing experience!! Hope to you there!!!
