💚 What a great beginning of summer! We started our book tour in As always, reuniting with old friends after a year apart, meeting many new friends, and encountering thousands of book lovers, released two new publications for this year - everything was as wonderful as past summer book fairs.

Undeniably, we also faced unique challenges that wouldn’t be encountered in other parts of the world. These are difficulties that anyone engaged in independent publishing in China cannot ignore. However, we are always on the path to solving these problems, and it is heartening to see everyone coming together. 💪💪

Looking forward to our next event.

For this exhibition, we have also selected publications from .magazine and more, related to ‘connection’ focusing on exploring the essence of human relationships and emotional expression.

We recently did our new year’s drawing ( this year is the dragon 🐉 year). It became our yearly tradition, that we draw something special to celebrate the moment, marks the beginning of a new year, a new chapter of us. We are also glad, that we are till on the road 💚

With this drawing, we printed our first calendar. they are available in different indie bookstores and art shops in China, in many cities, to meet new people.

The Year of the Dragon is particularly auspicious, as the dragon is considered a symbol of power, strength, and good luck in Chinese culture. With that wish we also hope, a new exciting year is heading to everyone.

Have a lovely evening tonight, with happiness, good vibes, delicious food and most importantly, family and friends together.

We wishing you the best in our “traditional” ways, just like the drawing: May you ride with each step, may you have good luck and fortune, good health and safety, and may all your wishes come true.

At the end of 2023, we tried something new - it was our first ILLUSTRATION art fair with 400+ local artists. Apart from the form of paper, the artists’ creativity has given us tremendous shock and inspiration.

And for the first time, we curated the illustrations created intermittently over the past five years and held a small retrospective exhibition - it received a lot of love!

Also with the books 📖 we picked for the ILLUSTRATION art fair, and Art books from We had great time 💚

Besides of the [ Please Plant this Book], a special [ bouquet version 💐 ] has been made for a flower garden 💚

In 1968, American poet Richard Brautigan executed a still quite creative proposal, in which he wrote a poetry collection about seeds and invited us to plant them, resulting in "Please Plant This Book."

The creative cultural institution ,One Villain and 49 Horses’ recreated the Chinese version of “Please Plant This Book” following Brautigan’s original creative format.

"Please Plant This Book" differs from typical poetry collections that use book pages to carry text. The eight botanical poems about flowers are printed on eight seed packets, with planting instructions on the back, and the packets contain the respective seeds.

Hidden within the bouquet are eight small paper bags, each containing a different flower type. On each paper bag are eight classic poems by Dickinson. These poems were selected from Dickinson's existing collection of over 8,000 poems. Roses, strawberries, grass, dandelions, violets, asters, jasmine, and clover—eight different types of seeds—are wrapped in the paper bags, combining to create one's own poetic garden. 🪴🌈

📖 New book arrived: [ 🌱Please Plant This Book 🌱 ] Chinese&English Vision

Some of our readers might got the first edition years ago, it has been sold out since a while. Now the second edition is out! 🙌

In 1968, American poet executed a still quite creative proposal, in which he wrote a poetry collection about seeds and invited us to plant them, resulting in "Please Plant This Book."

Brautigan penned eight botanical poems at the time and collected four types of flower seeds corresponding to the poems—marigolds, baby's breath, California poppies, and baby's breath royal carpet, as well as four vegetable seeds—lettuce, carrots, parsley, and small pumpkins. By combining poetry creation and design concepts, he "published" the seeds along with the eight poems and one set of planting instructions.

The last event we had in September - in Beijing, we participated in Yes! art festival #野生艺术节 .

This art festival is dedicated to creating an open platform for independent artists, young creators, creative studios and brands. It also provides an opportunity to connect with numerous creators who based in Beijing.

The experience was quite unique - we discovered many different ways to combine materials, a chance to jump out of paper, and a mind share with younger audiences and creators - it was lot much than we thought! And nice journey indeed 💛

We will definitely join again next year, and continue creating more. And thanks for all the loves. 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕
