Greater Plano Kiwanis Club

1,500 flying butterflies in their natural setting in an 800-square-foot mesh-bound habitat. This educational and philanthropic event raises money for children's charities in our local community. The Club has established a family of service programs designed to support the children and young adults of our communities at many levels. Baby food is collected for the Plano Food Pantry and funds are donated for child health care to the Children's Miracle Network and the Plano Medical Clinic. A birthday book program gives 4th grade students a chance to select, read and then donate a book to their school library for future classes to enjoy. Scholarships are provided to local high school graduates and Collin College students. In addition, our club supports Special Olympics in their efforts to meet the needs of the physically and mentally challenged members of our communities. The Club’s Mission is “We invest in the future of our community.”

The Greater Plano Kiwanis Club meets each Tuesday for lunch at noon with interesting speakers. The meeting is at Primavera Italian Restaurant located at the NE corner of Coit and Park.
