New knives on the new website!
Second thought.. I really feel like working on this evening... Another reason why
Anyone in the Sneads ferry/onslow area know the owner of this salty boi? My drone might be of use to come up with an exfil plan... Who's been through the new river inlet under nods on a ✨ night? Red right return?
Anyone see this in the sky last night? ? ? ? No.... It's just Elon Musk lining up his 420.... Yes #420 satellites in outer space in order to create a global internet network accessable from anywhere on Earth.

Amazing event with great people. All together the event raised north of 70k$ in about three hours. Some of the big items were this set of jerseys worn during the world series, a custom AR with amazing wood stock and hand guards, and a beautiful wrapped Raider paddle.
Happy 244th birthday USMC, and have a great veteran's day weekend!
About 6ish hours left to bid on some awesome stuff that will support some awesome charities this veteran's day weekend.

Bone. This knife profile was inspired by the profile of the B1B, typical . When deployed in combat having Bone check in with plenty of and bomb bay gives you the feeling of . or over Hawijah, or a show of force these crews kicked ass.
This one is a birthday gift for an amazing Marine, mentor, friend, and savage fighter... who is a third degree black belt... hence the three red lines on the box and scales.

What do you think? Comments and suggestions are much appreciated.
This one is not very pretty... But a good learning experience. I actually broke a tap in it and found a gunsmith tip on YouTube for getting the broken tap out... freezed the tap with canned air and lightly chipped the broken tap with a punch. It warped during heat treat where the tap broke. Warp came out surprisingly easy. Tested various laser engraving power settings on it at . Frag pin in the sheath isn't needed for retention... being a former FRI master, I've seen a few guys lose their knives going down the rope.
I had this short piece leftover and figured I needed a + BC (box cutter). I also used it to test a few things... etching, park, scales/glue... etc. I found the spalted maple locally and stablized it my self with cactus juice and dye from
I've seen shop cats, shop dogs, and shop ducks... but this is the first toad. Cleaning up the shop and found this guy. He's back in the woods now.
Long post but this might be useful for someone. Parkerizing was kicking my but. I had done it once before in a class I took and had zero issues. It was . When I did it on my own I kept getting these marks that looked like scratches. I talked to tech support, some awesome makers on IG, guys who park bike parts, a couple gunsmiths, and my knife making mentor. Just like life, it comes down to the process of elimination and problem solving. I stuck to the Brownells instructions pretty close, still had bad results. Took a break to reevaluate... While driving down the road it dawned on me the grip on my blast cabinet gloves looked a lot like the marks on the blades. Despite cleaning the blades with acetone post blast, and then boiling pre park, the rubber from the gloves stayed on the blade. Solution= don't touch the blade with cheap blast cabinet gloves and when I need to flip the blade, touch it in an area that will be covered by the scales. Problem solved. Like, follow, share.
Post heat treat. Heat treated under the mentorship of and close supervision of his shop cat.
Initial grinds.
The smell of cut metal, cutting fluid, layout fluid, and WD-40 always brings me back to my early teen years. The father of my good friend and neighbor was a machinist who had several mills and lathes in his home shop. It wasn't until I was much older that I realized how much math, skill, and precision it took to crank out the parts he was making. Happy father's day.
Arts and crafts time with a lock buster round.
Finishing up my first batch of knives and figuring out how to post on social media.

Saw this truck on the side of the road. Fighting machines, one fights fire, the other fights war.
