Hi everyone, I’m posting this for awareness for all small businesses and residents to be vigilant. I want to make everyone aware of an incident that has occurred in my beauty salon a few days ago. A woman booked in to have aesthetic treatments done worth around £150. She came in for her appointment and ended up having over £300 worth of treatments. At the end of her service, her husband came to make the payment and wanted to bank transfer so I gave them my details and checked and he showed me the payment completed sign and left in a hurry before I could even check my bank account. I checked my account to see no payment had come through and I tried contacting them and explaining that nothing has come through and could they re check. There was no response at all from them. For the next day I tried contacting and saying that we are a small business so this is completely unfair especially as they refused to even reply or acknowledge my messages. I then had to go onto my cctv and get the footage and I sent them the photos saying that I’ll have to report them. As soon as I sent that, I started receiving the most nasty phone calls where they threatened to “follow me home and stab me”. Making threats of murdering me and following me etc. since then there have been multiple attempts of “someone” trying to log into my page. I’m sharing this to make everyone vigilant please if these people come into your small business they most likely do not have good intentions. I’m now at a loss of over £350 which is hard as it is for a small business but I’m posting this mainly to make others in the community aware. Also the matter has already been reported and logged to police who are aware of the couple and have the footage. Please stay safe. Thank you.
