Chabad Hebrew School of Suffern
Our Hebrew School offers a warm and lively Jewish atmosphere where children can attain a unique and exciting awareness of their Jewish identity and heritage.
An education that will continue to inspire your child for a lifetime. Chabad Hebrew School takes place at Viola Elementary School and Suffern Middle School.
Today we celebrated the end of a remarkable year at chabad Hebrew school, The energy filling the room was beyond words.
This year has been a difficult year for our people, but when I think about our beautiful students @ CHS, I know the future of our people is bright.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the chabad Hebrew School parents for entrusting us with the privilege of being part of your children's Jewish education. Your dedication and support is invaluable, and it is through your commitment that we can continue to nurture and educate the next generation in the ways of Torah.
Chabad Hebrew School students went home all prepared for Pesach with their Seder treasure chests and magical seders, their magnificent Seder plates and cups of Elijah. Their knowledge and all they’ve prepared will definitely enhance your seders
Today, we relived the most important day in Jewish history. It was the day of the Giving of the Torah. Hashem chose us as His special nation and bestowed upon us His most precious gift: the Torah! In fact, this was the reason why Hashem performed all the miracles to bring us out of Egypt, so that He could give us His most precious gift, the Torah. The Torah belongs to every single Jew, and the children were chosen as guarantors for the Torah.
Our kids were enthralled today as the story of the Giving of the Torah was recounted, and they earned Torah Auction tickets while listening to all the miracles that happened during this time
Afterward, the students used the tickets they earned to purchase materials to create this gorgeous Mount Sinai cake that you see in this picture! We are fortunate that the Torah is a gift for each and every one of us forever! ✨✨
Even when everyone around me is doing the wrong thing, I can still stand strong. That's like, Noach. He was the only one in the world making good choices, when everyone else was not. Since the world needed to be filled with mitzvot, Hashem told Noach to build a teivah that would save him and his family from the great flood. Today we made our very own life size teivah. In an open-ended Makerspace activity we built a floating boat and tested it out on the water!
Can you tell who we learned about at Hebrew school today??
Our first day at Hebrew School was ROCKing! This week
we created a rock garden. Just like rocks are solid, last, are consistent and never change, the Torah is our rock. We wrote messages inspired by Torah that we learned - a message that we want the world to know - because Torah is solid, lasts, is consistent, and never changes. Looking forward to a year of learning and growing!

Dear Friends,
Exciting news! We are working together with the Chabad CKids Network and many Chabad Hebrew Schools throughout the world to create a "Virtual Chabad Hebrew School Program" with learning and activities! Through this program, our students will be ready to celebrate Passover and keep that Jewish pride shining! There will be two tracks available to choose from according to age group. The program is approximately an hour and half.
CHS will be closed for the time being, as safety is our highest priority.
