Brutal and epic, metallic yet melodic.
We are against human trafficking and against the enslavement and exploitation of human beings. Today, human beings are the second (!!) biggest trade 'product' in the world. Drugs are the first and weapons come third. It's an insane and horrible truth.
Therefor we casted our vote for STOP THE TRAFFIK by writing their name under this picture. It helps them to win some money for campaigning and such. It would be great if you could help out, too, by simply mentioning the name 'Stop the Traffik' in a comment under this photograph:
Thanks to your voting we have the final 3 causes! Mane Chance Sanctuary, The National Brain Appeal and Stop the Traffik are now asking for your vote to make them April's Featured Beneficiary - please comment below with your choice of one of these three worthy causes.
(closing date is Monday 30th March - with the winner being announced Tuesday 31st March/one vote per person).
We still have a few of these left.

"Watch these scars grow as they imprint your memories"
You saw that right on the new bandpicture: there are 3 members left. It’s sad to say, but Joey is leaving Burial Earth. Here’s his announcement:
"I’m totally unhappy to have to say this, but yes, I’m leaving the band. The reason is I have Tinnitus, which makes it impossible for me to be in a band and make loud music like Burial Earth does. Through the years I already got some ear damage but last year I got this constant ‘beep’ that probably will stay there forever. I don’t want this thing to get worse and it just might get worse when I scream or listen to very loud music, even when I’m protected. I have been going to shows and played shows being protected by using eargplugs over the last years, but the damage done before, when I wasn’t protected, made my ears weaker and the intensity of practicing and playing live shows seemed to be too much, unfortunately. Not being able to allow the right level of music into my ears to match the level of my screaming makes it quite impossible to do the whole thing properly. And loosing my plugs on stage don’t make things any more comfortable either. Once you have this beep, you don’t want to take any risk making it worse. So I don’t have much of a choice in here. And yes, it totally sucks.
Since I was about 7 years old, I started listening to music so much and to so many different styles that it’s become a part of me. After 26 years of listening to all that music I can meet people with all kinds of backgrounds and still share a decent amount of listening experiences. Going to shows and festivals and seeing new bands has become a sort of a habit and I started booking shows myself over the last years. I love to promote bands that I think have something to say and play their music well and do something original and are passionate about it. Fortunately I can keep doing those things, even though I can’t handle the same amount of noise so I have to walk away from shows sometimes. If your ears ain’t strong, you’d better be smart.
Being in a band is something that I’ve wanted to do for quite some time and I’m honoured to have been a part of the talented band that I find Burial Earth to be. Especially since the recording of our demo in 2010, which contains tracks from before that time, the new material has progressed into something quite unique. Technical, brutal yet atmospherical, emotional, sort of post-death metal with a black twist here and there. I was looking forward to record the new album very much and leave something there forever to look back on. But it’s not gonna happen for me. And the same goes for playing shows. We were really becoming something on stage, I was getting to understand how to get my voice out there better and we were growing into something tight. It’s been totally awesome to support Sepultura and we had quite some fun playing small shows in pubs just as much. It’s been nice for me to see the other side of the stage, knowing what it takes for organisers and venues to book a band, promote the show and arrange everything to make the night worthwile. And most of all I enjoyed working together with the Kameroperahuis in Zwolle and perform a unique version of Claudio Monteverdi’s ‘l’Orfeo’, combining opera with metal at the catacombs of a theater, all complete with actors and actresses making it a very dynamic experience for the visitors and ourselves. And what metal band can say they opened for Frank Boeijen on the main stage of the Stadsfestival in the canals of Zwolle? Burial Earth can! 8-)
I’m glad to still have a lot of fun in listening to so much different kinds of music and going to shows and festivals or organising them myself. If I wouldn’t have that in music, I might fall into a deep black hole because of leaving this band. It’s quite frustrating to not be able to do that thing you want to do so much, knowing you were getting better at it every show. I believe it could have become quite a great ride. To begin with, I would have never joined the band if I didn’t believe there was something original and real good about it. To me, a lot of metal bands that play thrash or death metal, do something I’ve heard thousands of times before. When Nanne plays riffs, they’re fresh and pure and Geert is a nerd on drums and sound, progressing in recording at his brand new Samuel Studio’s in Nieuw-Buinen. Michiel adds that melancholic feel to it with his solo’s and all together with Nanne’s and my vocals, I believe we were adding something unique to the scene. With Jeremy and I leaving, it’s only the 3 guys remaining being Burial Earth from now on. I want to thank them for all the time and energy they put in me feeling at home in the band and allowing me to put my own ideas into it. For not being just a band, but being Brothers, too. And having fun playing Black Ops, ofcourse.
To you, reading this, having supported us as a band, by enjoying our music, offering us a show, a place to stay, volunteering at the venues we played, visiting our shows, writing reviews, taking photo’s, filming, buying our demo or a t-shirt, telling your friends about us, talking s**t about us, praying for us, hating on us, doing anything that made us a band: THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Please keep supporting the band, like I will, too. Buy the new record directly from the band, go to their shows, pray for them, have a beer with them and spend some money on decent earplugs for yourself. It will help you enjoy the music longer. It’s worth the money.
Oh, and go listen to my friends in Callisto, Exhale, Inevitable End, support your local scene, buy records, buy Fair Trade stuff, grow your own food, love your fellow human beings and do what you can to STOP THE TRAFFIK!!"
