In honor of Eid'l Adha, we extend our heartfelt wishes to everyone celebrating this important occasion. Monday, June 17, 2024, has been declared a regular holiday nationwide, allowing us to join our Muslim brothers and sisters in observing this sacred festival.

Eid'l Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice, commemorates the profound act of faith and obedience of Ibrahim (Abraham) when he was willing to sacrifice his son in submission to God's will. This festival underscores the values of devotion, generosity, and the importance of selflessness.

Symbols of Eid'l Adha:
- Sheep: Symbolizes the ram provided by God as a substitute for Ibrahim's son, representing mercy, obedience, and the spirit of sacrifice.
- Camel: In some traditions, camels are also sacrificed, symbolizing a higher level of offering and reflecting deeper devotion and generosity.

As we come together to celebrate this occasion, may we all be inspired by the universal values it represents and foster a spirit of unity, compassion, and peace across the globe. Eid Mubarak from the Cavite State University Cavite City Campus - ROTC Unit!

HONORING OUR FLAG

Join Cavite State University-Cavite City ROTC Unit in celebrating National Flag Day! The Philippine flag, a symbol of unity, peace, and valor, features three golden stars representing Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao within the white triangle. The sun with eight rays symbolizes independence, each ray representing one of the first eight provinces that revolted against Spanish rule.

First unfurled on May 28, 1898, following the victorious Battle of Alapan in Imus, Cavite, our flag serves as a testament to the bravery and resilience of Filipino forces. This historic event prompted President Diosdado Macapagal to declare May 28 as National Flag Day through Presidential Proclamation No. 374 (s. 1965), honoring our nation's enduring spirit and quest for freedom.

Let's proudly display our flag from May 28 to June 12, reflecting on its profound significance and the sacrifices of our heroes. Together, we reaffirm our commitment to upholding the principles of patriotism and unity that our flag represents.
