Friends of the St. Charles Library
The Friends of the St. Charles Library is a group of volunteers who support, advocate, and raise funds for the St. Charles Parish Library.
In the event of a mandatory evacuation this hurricane season, please use the designated emergency evacuation routes to ensure you and your family's safety! 🚨 This is the St. Charles Parish Contraflow Map, but we will often call for an evacuation before Contraflow is in place.

This week's special guest is Schoolhouse Safari!
Be immersed in a fun and educational demonstration including exotic birds, reptiles, insects, and small mammals from all around the globe! During the presentation, we will introduce a dozen of our friendly and fascinating animal ambassadors discussing fun facts about each one.
Following the presentation, guests will have a chance to come up and see the animals up close, pet a few, take pictures, and ask our educators questions.
For all ages. There is no registration, but our meeting rooms do have limited space, so come early to get a seat. All library programs are completely FREE!
The Friends of the St. Charles Library will hold their July Pop-Up Book Sale on Friday, July 12 from 9am to noon!

Our next yoga class, taught by Sara Lyon LPC RYT at the East Regional Library in Destrehan (Tuesday, July 9 at 6pm) will feature a sound bath at the end.
Bring a blanket in addition to your yoga mat (or towel!) for the sound bath, which is a meditative experience where attendees are "bathed" in sound waves.
