Hi everyone, just touching base with you all. I'm hoping all of you that have requested appointments have now been given one.
I know we are all getting a little excited about getting our hair done and will hopefully have confirmation later that this can go ahead. I just wanted to let you know my policy before many news feeds fills with policies for different things.
Please give me a nudge if i have some how forgotten or missed you for an appointment.

Please also make sure you have replied to my appointments as I know how easy it is to forget to reply. I would not have kept the offered appointment for you due to demand if you did not reply with a yes.

Skin tests; yes I'm sorry this procedure has to be done again as annoying as it is, it is a legal requirement to allow my insurance to be valid. This needs to be done at least 48 hours before your colour and will need to be repeated in 6 months time or before hand if you want to change your colour, have a covid vaccination, have any illness or change in medication. Please let me know if this is the case for you and it will be kept in the strictest of confidence. With all of this in place a consultation will also be required during a skin test. No colour treatments will be carried out unless this has been done. Please get intouch and let me know a good time to pop up. This will be free.

Price: unfortunately there may be a slight increase to your price. This is beyond our control but the costing of pretty much everything has gone up. E.g a box of gloves used to cost us £8 they now cost nearly £20. We will keep this to bare minimum as this is something we do not like to do.

Home Colour, please if you have done a home colour and you are not happy with the result, your appointment will be classed as a colour correction. If this is the case for you then please let me know as you will need more time.

I am operating as 1:1 appointments unless you are coming in as a family.

Lastly, I have everything in place covid safe for you to be safe during your appointment. Please do not attend your appointment if you have any covid symptoms or have been in contact with someone with covid.
When you arrive please wait in your car until you are called in.
I will have a sanitising dispenser outside the door, please use this before entering and please ensure you are wearing a mask.
Please also scan the track and trace barcode upon entry.

If allowed I will be serving tea and coffee, however I'm really not keen on using disposables as we are already using so much for PPE so feel free to bring your own mug and magazine.

I think that's all, please if you have any questions/queries get intouch. Look forward to seeing you all. Ashlee.xx

Well today’s news certainly seems brighter ☀️
There is light at the end of the tunnel and you will all be pleased to know hair services are hoping to start again from the 12th of April.

Please bare with me I’m not sure Boris took in to consideration that this date is half way through Easter holidays and with having three children and needing child care 🙄
However I’m glad we have had the heads up of this possible date.

If you had an appointment booked in after Christmas then I will be intouch to rearrange.

If you didn’t have an appointment please do get in touch for another appointment.

Please also remember there is only one of me 😃 I will do my very best to fit you all in in the first couple of weeks of these dates.

I will next update with when Boris makes his announcement to make this official in the coming of weeks.

Thanks again for all your continued support. Look forward to having you back in the chair.x

Hi everyone, how’s it going????

So homeschooling for a while yet 🤯🤯🤯
I’m not going to lie, I’m certainly no teacher and like most people have struggled this time and wanted to give up!
On the upside my hand is on the mend and have been able to drive a little bit to spar and back 🤣 😁
I have a lovely scar too!

Anyway, 😔 looks like it’s going to be a while yet before we are back to hair colouring and cutting.
I will be scheduling a zoom Wednesday next week at 7pm if anyone wants a catch up or has any questions. I will post the link nearer the time.
Anyone is free to join so stock up on Gin ready for a natter!!
Take care. 😘

04/01/2021

I can’t say I’m surprised with the latest announcement.
As frustrating as it is we must all do our bit to help protect the NHS
I’m sorry that this means no hair for you until at least mid feb,
however very few know I had a bit of an accident before new year and spent new year in Hereford hospital for a few nights which means I would not be able to work January anyway 🙈🙈 I’m really ok and will be fighting fit when the time comes for me to open my door again.

Take care everyone and please I will get round to messaging every single person booked in over the coming weeks to look at rebooking when things start to improve. As much as I would like to give you all first appointment this is not possible. I will book in Order of appointments cancelled but will work extra going back.

My door may be closed but my phone is always on, please don’t feel alone at anytime we will get through this.

31/12/2020

Wishing you all a healthy and prosperous new year!

24/12/2020

Wishing you all a merry Xmas and a hopeful new year!
A huge Thankyou for all of your support. It has certainly been a tough year.
Lots of love 💗

04/12/2020

It’s been so great being back to it!!
I’ve managed to find time to check in on my youngest brother at the new barbers. I am a super proud big sister. George Adams 💜

31/10/2020

Sad to be having to close for a few weeks.
I have been in touch with all those that have appointments in the next week.
Rest assured if you are booked in November you will have a priority slot in December which basically means I will add extra days in December for those booked in November only.
I will be in touch over the next few days if I haven’t already.
Please remember I am always on the end of the phone for anyone who needs me for advice or if you just want a chat, don’t feel alone, keep safe, help each other and stay kind.

News we are waking up to is quite worrying!
With this in mind, today is the last day to book your appointment before Xmas as I have only a few appointments left.
After today I will be closing the diary which means I won’t be taking any more appointments until the new year. Strange times still and very uncertain. Keep safe everyone.

24/09/2020

Track and trace digitally starts today! Scan at the door, don’t panic if you are unsure I will help.
Please make sure you come wearing face coverings. Thanks

04/09/2020

Morning everyone, kids back to school 😀😀😀
Thanks to everyone for respecting our rules, you have all been fab!

We have come to the decision that we won’t be doing appointments for customers that have been abroad for a 2 week period after getting back. With the countries changing with isolation policy constantly we think this is in the best interest of our families and our customers.
So please if you are going or have been abroad and have a a hair appointment within 2 weeks of being away then please rebook.
Thanks 😊

20/07/2020

Again a huge thank you for support over the last few weeks and respecting our rules.
We are asking from this week that all customers please wear a face mask to all appointments.
Thanks
Ashlee and Paula.x

13/07/2020

The first week has been ace!! It’s been so great seeing everyone and I would just like to thank you all for sticking to the rules.
Still got lots of you to see and will look forward to the coming weeks of seeing everyone.

Polite notice...
We will not be answering the phone or replying to messages after work hours. Please do not take offence to this and we are not aiming this at anyone we just like to switch off and we don’t always have the diary with us.

Thanks for all of the treats and love this week. Take care Ash and Paula x

04/07/2020

Today is the day, wishing all other hairdressers the best of luck. It will be lovely getting back and earning some pennies again.
Please bare with us, it is all very new.
I will be wearing full PPE,

Please , please, please be honest if you are not feeling well or show any Covid symptoms please rearrange your appointment. Your details will be held for 21 days recording the time and date of your appointment as well as contact details. This is to assist the track and trace.

Please arrive prompt to your appointment, I will open the door for you to come in when it’s safe to do so.

If you are having a cut please arrive with your hair freshly washed, we are trying to limit contact.

If you are having a colour please wash you let hair and dry it within 12 hours before your appointment. (Coronavirus lives on the hair)

Unfortunately we will not be blow drying the hair for the time being.

When you enter the salon please use hand sanitiser provided to the right of you.

Everything will be disinfected between clients

Unfortunately at the moment we are unable to offer hot drinks and magazines until given the go head from the government.

We will make your appointment the best we possibly can.

Hoping all the beauty industry can get back to it soon. Really feel for you all!!
Best wishes everyone and see you all very soon.

29/06/2020

Count down is on, I have been out and about this afternoon skin testing a few of you and it has been so nice to see you. It’s got me really excited and I have really missed you all!

Don’t panic if you haven’t heard from me regarding skin test as I will get to you at some point this week if you are booked in the next 10 days.

If you feel you can pop up for a skin test then I will be here wednesday eve and Friday morning. Just pop me a message before coming. Skin testing is really important and needs to be done before I can colour your hair.

I will be sending out final instructions toward the end of the week regarding your appointment and answer frequently asked questions.

Anyway can’t wait to see you. It’s been way too long.x

24/06/2020

I have received my guidelines.
Everything I have already stated is pretty much staying the same.

We are needing to keep appointments as short as possible so it remains that we will only be providing your normal colour and wet cuts for the time being.

I’m going to be contacting those with colours booked about skin testing.

If you are NHS staff your booked with me, your cuts will be free through July as a thank you for your services.

Any questions please get in touch.
Ash.x

23/06/2020

See you all very soon!!!
Salon has had a makeover. Look forward to seeing you all and hearing your news!xx

05/06/2020

Very relatable at the minute

05/06/2020

We are excited to announce that our diaries are provisionally open...
We are provisionally taking bookings from 4th July on wards. Although we would like to fit you all in first this is not possible. Please bare with us we are doing this the fairest way possible and will be working longer hours to ensure your hair gets done within the first couple of weeks of opening. To ensure your safety and ours, me and Paula will be working on separate days so we can maintain as much social distancing as possible and we will only be having one client at a time So please understand that not everyone will get appointments as quick as they like.
A few points we would like to make before you book your appointment..

Your honesty is important to us, we have children at home, grandparents and parents and I have a husband that has a health condition. These people are precious to us and we do not want to take home any bugs so we ask that if you display any covid symptoms even just one or if you are feeling unwell, please rearrange your appointment.

Salon appointments wont be the same as before, We are continuously keeping up to date with the government guidelines again for your safety and ours. At the moment

Unfortunately we are unable to offer a blow dry or style on
your service. This is not what service we want to give but to be able to open, this is the only way. This may change but we are wanting to be honest. We will be offering your normal colour/Highlights and wet cuts only.

We will be using PPE equipment a new apron and gloves for each client, a face mask and visor.
We will provide a new gown, towel and hand sanitiser for clients. We will be booking out extra time between clients to disinfect areas and equipment
We will not be providing hot drinks as normal or magazines.
This will be in all salons throughout the country but could change at anytime including booking dates although we will not be opening before 4th July.

What we ask from you
Be honest

Optional to wear a mask (unless government advise) but please provide this

To be on time for your appointment, we are working longer days and will not have time to do your appointment if you are late.

Please stay in your vehicle until you are asked to come in.

We love to see your children but please unless they have an appointment do not bring your children

Sorry for the long post.....
On a positive note, we can't bloody wait to see you all. It has been such along time and there is so much to catch up on.
YAYYYYYYY!!!
Love to you all and see you soon
Ash and Paula # # #

13/05/2020

Now is the perfect time to have skin tests done before we are back in the salon. Please pm me your addresses and I will send you out a skin test kit over the next month. This will apply to everyone having colour.x

12/05/2020

Another order made from my very own Dad today. Hand sanitiser for you all. His company has worked really hard during the last couple of months making and supplying hand sanitiser in his factory for the public. He’s also donated to local care homes and work places in his area. Very proud of this. ❤️
Another step keeping you safe

11/05/2020

Today I have had a delivery of disposable towels.
Did you know this even existed?
Eco friendly, bio degradable and the big thing is hygiene.
Although I washed all my towels for each client. I feel the best way to keep everyone safe is to use disposable towels. That way I’m not bringing towels into my home.
One of many steps I will be taking to ensure my salon is a safe environment.x

10/05/2020

July.... this will be the earliest any hair salon will be able to open. This will be if everyone sticks to the rules. Keep safe everyone and I will be checking in on all of you over the coming week if I haven’t already spoken to you.
The only advice from myself before you grab that home hair dye is to get in touch. Hair disasters are very popular all over the world at the minute. July is a long way off yet to get it fixed.
Now is the time to give your hair some love by using regular conditioning treatments and get it into tip top condition before I can get my hands stuck in again.
Keep safe everyone.xx

10/05/2020

So ahead of tonight’s announcement I though I would give an update.
As much as I want to get back to all my lovely clients/friends, I don’t think it will happen very soon.
There is anticipation in tonight’s speech expecting lockdown to lift. I’m no expert but seriously don’t feel now is the time to do this.
As a self employed person I have not had a wage for nearly 9 weeks so I am taking this whole situation seriously.
From a hairdressing point of view we will continue to have government updates on our position and as soon as we get the go ahead we will put things into place to get back open. We are working extremely hard at the moment sourcing PPE and putting in place a safe environment for you to come back to and will not open until this has been completed also.
I appreciate this is frustrating for you as it is for me. I too am desperate for a hair cut.
I am always here for advice but I think you have all managed marvellously and I Thankyou for your understanding.
I really miss you all. I don’t have much news for you all unfortunately but look forward to hearing what you have all been upto during isolation.
Lots of love
