The Elegy Paradigm

e Rock zusammenfassen. Als ich 2011 anfing recorden, mixen und mastern am PC zu lernen, entstand meine erste EP „Paradox in Reality“, die auch eher als Lernprozess beziehungsweise Experiment zu sehen ist. Mit zunehmender Erfahrung ging ich dann mein zweites größeres Projekt „Aftermath“ – ein 15-minütiger Song - an, welches dann schon mit sehr viel mehr Aufwand und Know-How entstanden ist.

2016 habe ich Patrick Lander Asarta als Sänger für meine EP „A Slight Whisper“, die noch 2017 erscheint, ins Boot geholt. Die Zusammenarbeit hat so gut geklappt, dass er seitdem festes Mitglied ist und auch als Komponist und Texter tätig ist.

„The Elegy Paradigm“ ist noch ein Studioprojekt, aber vielleicht wird es ja mal irgendwann in irgendeiner Form auf die Bühne gebracht, dies ist jedoch nicht das Hauptziel des Projekts. Wir leben uns musikalisch und lyrisch aus, so wie es uns gefällt, nach keiner Norm oder Regel, und genau das soll „The Elegy Paradigm“ ausmachen.

„The Elegy Paradigm“ (formerly „Paradox in Reality“ and „Silent Elegy“) was founded 2009 by me, Robin Patzak. Once intended as my solo project I wanted to realize my ideas and experiment with many different styles. I am trying to create something new, something that was not heard a thousand times before. That is why the project often jumps between different genres. Still the main genre can be called Progressive Rock. When I started recording, mixing and mastering in 2011, my first EP „Paradox in Reality“ was the result. It should more be seen as a learning process, than an actual release. Gaining more experience, I did my second bigger project „Aftermath“ – a 15-minute piece – which was made with a lot more effort and know-how. In 2016 I asked Patrick Lander Asarta to give his voice to my EP, which now turns out as „A Slight Whisper“, released June 2017. Our workflow together was extremely good, so I decided to ask him, if he wants to be a full member of the project. Since that he is active as a songwriter and singer.
„The Elegy Paradigm“ is mostly a studioproject, but maybe we will enter the stage sometimes in the future. Nevertheless it is not the main goal of the project. We want to write the music we love without any rules and that is the main point for us.
