Wow, we don't know where to start.

I guess I'll introduce myself first. I am Azri, Chief Baker Kat at Kookie Kat Kuching. It has been 10 months since Kookie Kat started delivering palm sized happiness to the beautiful and generous people of Kuching.

We started because of our frustrations with the soft cookies in Malaysia not being on par with the texture and taste of the ones available in the UK. They are either too soft or too hard. We made the cookies to reminiscise the time we had when eating cookies either on train rides or stressful dissertation completion.

We sold our cookies because so many of our friends asked us to sell them the cookies and we were astonished with the amount of support and love given to our cookies. Thanks to Kak Yana's Caketageh, we were able to establish this business rather swimmingly. We had our ups and downs but with your never ending support, we have grown a lot this 10 months that we even managed to buy our own 2 tier oven! However, we didn't grow enough to have other people to run this business.

I have received an offer I could not resist earlier this month, I am able to continue my masters again back in the UK. As much as I loved Kookie Kat being my baby, I love geology more than baking and I couldn't just allow an opportunity like this to pass by.

Kookie Kat will be on a very long hiatus, we don't even know if we are gonna continue selling cookies even when I am back after I graduated. We are sorry to not be able to supply you with probably the crunchewiest cookies in Malaysia anymore, but it was our greatest pleasure to be serving you Kookie Kat cookies.

Kamek Azri, Chief Baker Kat Kookie Kat Kuching. Dah 10 bulan dah Kookie Kat beroperasi rah Kuching, ngantar kukis besar tapak tangan ngan orang yang kacak dan murah hatey.

Mekrang mula molah kukis tok sebab frust ncerik kukis rah Kuching sekda yang sama rasanya dengan kukis nak kamek salu beli rah England nun. Mun dah keras, keras ilak, lembut, lembut ilak. Mekrang polah balit sebab rindu nak makan kukis nak diempak masa nait tren maokpun stres polah dissertation dolok.

Kamek orang mula njual kukis tok bila rami dari kawan mekrang maok beli, terkezut juak bila rami orang s**a, piker tek molah kukis sambutan meher jak. Makseh ngan sifu Kak Yana ngan Bang Apen dari Caketageh, kamek orang dapat bangunkan Kookie Kat dengan mudah dan penuh konpiden. Bisnes tok ada masanya tang gus jak, tang jaik jak, tapi dengan sokongan padu takrang, mekrang berkembang sampe tang ada mampu beli oven 2 tengkat arum bulaknya tek. Tapi, sekembang-kembang mekrang tok, mekrang s*k sampei dapat nemu waris untuk bisnes tok.

Kamek baruk jak dapat tawaran untuk sambung belajar balit ke UK dalam peringkat master. Nak nama sayang ya nang sayang la dengan Kookie Kat, tapi apa boleh polah, mak bapak ajar dari kecik pelajaran ya penting gilak-gilak.

Kookie Kat akan berenti molah kukis dolok, mekrang s*k tauk mun mekrang akan polah lagik kukis tok lekak kamek grad. Ampun gilak-gilak sebab s*k mampu untuk molah kukis gik pake kitak orang. Kamek orang berbangga sebab dapat polah kukis pake takrang and dapat sokongan yang s*k pernah putus-putus dari kitak orang.

Lemme give u a little background bout dem fudge.

I first had my fudge when I was in my second year in the UK.

It was one of the most delightful, heavenly, buttery piece of confectionary that I have ever tasted!

When I came back, I quite miss the chewiness of the toffee squares and i thought, it might be a good ingredient to be put in our crunchewy cookies.

Unfortunately, the salted caramel cookies was a little tad too sweet, people liked them, but i dont think that the cookies are perfect, so we had to put them out of the menu for a period of time.

We came out with a new recipe, with cut the sugar content by 20% and tinkered with Gula Apong. The texture was ok, the apong molasses taste smoky and fragrant.

Well, lets see whats the general public has to say.

We have got an exciting update guys!

We will be using Beryl’s Gourmet Dark Chocolate from now on as the current ones are not up to our tastebuds’ standard.

As you know we had to change the semi sweet chocolate to dark chocolate because they are no longer sold in Kuching.

The latter brand Dark Chocolate is rather blunt and a little tart which doesnt seem to fit in our premium crunchewy cookies.

Yes, Beryl’s is a notorious brand of being darn expensive with their chocolate, but we’d rather sacrifice some profit than our quality.
