tête-à-tête: embodying dialogues is our 2019 SciArt celebration. This year’s theme is *your body*.
How do you experience an exhibition? How does your body react to visual information? What’s you body’s vocabulary? curates the exhibition focusing on these dialogues art and science generate.
This December we manifest sciart
Humans! We are thrilled to announce our SciArt annual. The 2019 science and art celebration will take place for the second consecutive year in Chicago. This winter we shake educational practices up. We do SciArt. Join the journey!
Our team and is on fire 🔥🔥🔥
Send help, the moving day is approaching! We are moving to Manhattan, as our founder is starting her PhD on Art Education. Even though our base will be in NYC now, our pillar programs stay here, in Chicago.
The biggest one, our SciArt annual. This year is getting even bigger and better so stay tuned.
Opening new markers, paint and colors; there is nothing like it! Oh, wait there is! Starting a fresh, new class with ! We are starting a new after school club this Friday with young learners in Wicker Park! Art, science and drama will make this learning journey unique -we cannot wait to meet our new explorers.
We all have our secrets.
So what's theirs...?
Well, think about that...
Museums are vessels full of possibilities. And all these small or great possibilities take the form of personal encounters. But please, pay attention how your body reacts to those. It does matter. Who are you? Who are you becoming, after all?
You can see with your entire body, that’s what we preach at the . It’s not easy. We explore our environments with our bodies as a whole since day one. But then, somewhere along the way, we forget. Let’s change that!
•••
Let’s manifest life today, shall we?
🕳
So many ways to enjoy a visit at a Museum. Did you know that the total economic contribution of museums in 2016 amounted to more than $50 billion in GDP, 726,200 jobs, and $12 billion in taxes to local, state, and federal governments? Read more in our bio and be an advocate today! Happy and humans!
Sometimes it takes time and certainly it is really hard to see and don’t just look. To see behind the profound, do the connections, build the story, do the interpretation work and ultimately create a meaning powerful to *you*. For you. To be honest, this is a big ask from our museum goers, our visitors. This is why we believe in the power of education in any form; tours, interactive galleries, interpretation materials, even lectures (the most boring, right?). Small (or big) initiatives that will make the journey of learning personal, yet easier. Navigating through information needs courage. And we are here to help in this process 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Thank you for this wonderful experience!

Sometimes it is fascinating to observe what a team of learners has produced. Sometimes the materials, the energy in the room and the layabout speak volumes. And you know, this can be a great opportunity for the team, as well. In this particular photo, we love everything on the wall. You can create a story with these creatures, right?
If you haven't already watched this one, today is the day. Happy Monday humans.

DO NOT TOUCH!
Have you ever felt the strong desire to touch an exhibit even if it’s not allowed?
Tell us which one!
Here is trying to guess what would’ve happen if she had touched these crystals at the wndr museum
‘Maybe posing the question is the point. A child looks around her, and when she notices something she can't fathom, she asks about it. Our explanations don't suffice because I believe, what she really wants from us is to know if it's okay to be puzzled and curious. She wants permission to wonder.’
If there is a key to education and pedagogy, that is: permission to wonder. It’s all about what I call, “a safe spacetime” where every idea is valid and wonderful, every thought is precious and absolutely necessary. Here, talks about visual thinking strategies and it’s pure magic.
Learning is not a linear process and somatic learning bridges our inner environment with the ones that surround us. Our bodies become the medium, the event. Learn more about our kids' programs, here:
