Now in its 19th year, the Kastner Cup has become a major event on the vintage racing calendar for British car fans. The Kastner Cup is open to race prepared Triumph powered sports cars. Fans attending the race will experience the excitement of vintage cars at full speed up close and personal. Throughout the weekend, the race cars will be on display in the paddock and the drivers are thrilled to share their experience with race fans and British car enthusiast. Kevin Kastner (no relationship), Director of Marketing and Sales for Moss Motors, Ltd. stated “This sponsorship is in recognition of the career accomplishment and legacy of R.W. "Kas" Kastner who passed away on April 11, 2021 at the age of 92. Kas Kastner was one of the most influential individuals responsible for the racing success of Triumph sports cars from the late 1950’s through 1970 and beyond. Curt Johnston, Chair of the Friends of Triumph - Kastner Cup Race Committee stated “we couldn’t be more thrilled to have Moss Motors as the Presenting Sponsor of the Kastner Cup. The Kastner Cup has a huge untapped potential as a marketing platform for reaching vintage British car customers. Most British car owners regularly participate in shows where the cars are displayed in a parking lot. The Kastner Cup event is fundamentally different. Fans experience vintage cars at full speed on a race track, then can view the cars in the paddock and talk to the drivers. Car manufactures have always known that investing in racing expands market reach. The old adage of 'Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday' is still true today; not in terms of selling new cars of course, but in the context of selling parts and service. Joining Moss Motors in sponsoring the event is Vintage Triumph Register, Triumph Wedge Owner’s Association, and Huffaker Motorsports. In kind sponsors are Classic Motor Films, Steve Belfer Creative, and North American Triumphs.

The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) will sanction the race as a part of Portland Speed Tour; a full weekend of intense vintage racing by hundreds of vintage cars, Trans Am and formula cars. For drivers, SVRA is offering an incredible half-price deal to all Triumph powered sports cars of just $275 for three days of racing. The test day and additional run groups are extra for those that would like to participate. Registration is open now at the event webpage: https://svra.com/events/2021-portland-speedtour/. The race weekend will include practice and Q1 session on Friday, Q2
session and Kastner Cup race on Saturday, and Kastner Cup Reunion race on Sunday. In addition, a full day of testing is scheduled on Thursday, July 22nd. The paddock is open on Wednesday, July 21st.
