Wow... did not know this...
Just in time for Pride Month and Father's Day! Lots of new rainbow tie-dyed garden gnomes and some new mugs!
Badin Shores Resort for the neighborhood yard sale day today!
Getting closer...
The cherry blossom magnets took some custom underglaze mixing and some time but they are worth the wait. Now I need a dozen more for me and to finish the other 6 dozen I have waiting on glazing time for you guys!
What do y'all think about this glaze combination? I'm kind of partial to it... Should I make some to sell?
New shop update is live and here's a small sampling of the new items. Lots of necklaces, some mugs, a bunch of new bathroom accessories... www.etsy.com/shop/riverbankpottery
Edit: Teal mug is SOLD.
More fun stuff out of the kiln... Still working on the perfect tie-dyed pottery glazing...

Some pretties from last night's load... Played with a new mug toy that make these amazing mandala mugs and they screamed for some two-tone glazing to highlight the texture. Definitely making more for the Etsy shop soon...
More detailed... I'm enjoying this project. Laid awake thinking about them last night. Best way to glaze... which glaze... hand painting the centers... which magnets... how to attach the magnets... so many variables. But excited to see them completed. I made more than enough to put some in the Etsy shop too.
The beginnings of about a hundred cherry blossoms...
Finally stopped making other stuff and made a small cake stand to see how it would turn out. I used to have a cake shop about 12 years ago and I love to collect cake stands.
How should I glaze this one?
About to be some heat up in here!! A load of mugs and a couple of special orders going in the sun box today....
Hard at work on the wheel today...
When soul-crushing s**t happens...
I put five pieces in the box to bring in to glaze... only one survived my office chair brushing the box and knocking it about 16" to the floor off of the top of another box. Somehow I knew the whole batch of nine wouldn't survive to the end but I didn't think it would be so catastrophic... 😭😭😭
Needing all the help we can get...
A few new things in the shop today... etsy/shop/riverbankpottery or link in the bio.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Surprise Etsy shop drop tonight at 7 pm!! Sneak preview for IG and FB peeps... Shop link is etsy/shop/RiverbankPottery and in the bio...
2:30 am... Late night babysitting the kiln tonight. At least it's keeping the garage warm...
Several new items for the Etsy shop in this baby, along with some test tiles trying to dial in the best glazes and firing schedule for an exciting new line that I'm working on. Headed to the big city tomorrow to load up on more supplies but I need to see those tiles before I go.
For a while now, I've had too many pieces to fit in the kiln but not enough for a second load. Think I'm finally there so firing another load on Thursday, glazing Friday and firing again Friday night. Hoping to have an extra shop update over the weekend so stay tuned!
Just a quick shot of one of my custom orders before it sails out the door. Customer requested a matching desk set for a close friend who was recently promoted and scored a private office. 👏👏👏 Loving this glaze combo on her new mug, pencil cup and business card holder...💙💙💙 CONGRATS!!
Reminder... Wednesday (tomorrow) at Noon EST (11 Central/10 Mountain/9 Pacific) will be a shop update! Just a preview of a few things that will be available. There will also be some oil bottles and a few other goodies for early Christmas shoppers. Link to the shop is in the bio.
Next update will be closer to Thanksgiving and hoping to have a final update of the year by mid December. Coming soon will be some new pendants, wine glass sets and mugs.
Repping in the sand...
Mugshot Monday by the pool...
Just some Mugshot Monday beach action...
Pix from a dear friend of her custom-ordered Christmas trees in her brand new kitchen... Loved making these for her and love that new kitchen and the spot of honor. Love you too, Angie!!
Loving how this turned out!! Thanks to for her fabulous crocheting skills. Looking forward to making more of these.
Working on some new techniques and I'm so excited about these results that I can't even sit still!
