Here’s a little visual of the Do’s and Don’ts while getting your nails done. As a client it seems perfectly natural to cross your hand over your lower arm. You feel relaxed right? To a Nailtech it feels like rigor mortis is setting in and you are not relaxed. It feels heavy and puts pressure on our hands. It’s hard to maneuver your hand and fingers where we need them because you have locked them down w your other hand. Sitting sideways or not center w the table will result in nails that are shaped sideways and not even. It seems like a lot of rules I know , it just makes it easier and less painful for our jobs. It really is a physical job and our bodies take a lot of abuse. I love what I do and have been doing it for 23 years. I would LOVE to do it another 23 years God willing.
