As we wrap up the first week of the new year, I hope this message finds you well and filled with positive energy. Have you taken a moment to reflect on 2023 and set your resolutions for the year ahead? Consider embracing a perspective that appreciates both the challenges and triumphs of the past year.
In your reflections, did you focus solely on perceived negatives, or did you also acknowledge the positives, lessons learned, and moments of gratitude? Cultivating gratitude, even in challenging circumstances, can help us stay grounded and find inner peace.
In relation to your new year's resolutions, consider the words of a radio host I heard earlier this week, who humorously remarked that her Christmas gift was a few extra pounds. Living in a society that tends to shame and guilt us, particularly regarding our bodies, it's essential to challenge these societal norms. Rather than succumbing to self-criticism, I encourage you to approach your resolutions with a foundation of self-love. Let's defy societal expectations and choose a path of self-love, recognizing that it can lead to greater success.

All I can say is it's important to recognize when you need to rest, and when you need it, take it. I'm feeling drained but at the same time I also feel content. This is one thing that the practice of Yoga Nidra has taught me. You can feel one thing and another thing at the same time.

Today, I want to share an important and heartfelt update regarding my journey in the world of yoga and teaching.
As many of you know, I've been on a beautiful journey, striving to build an online yoga business while simultaneously holding down a full-time job. Yoga has been my passion, my sanctuary, and my guiding light. It's a practice that has brought so much meaning and joy into my life, and it's a path I've been thrilled to share with you all.
In an ideal world, I would love for yoga to be my sole means of livelihood. However, my full-time job remains a necessary part of my life. The reality of balancing a full-time job with the demands of a part-time online business has been challenging, both in terms of time and financial investment. The effort required to keep up with online content, and the financial costs have left me feeling stretched thin. Therefore, I need to pause.
I want to make it clear that I'm not giving up on yoga. Instead, I'm taking a step back to engage in "svadhyaya" – self-study and introspection. This is an essential aspect of the yogic path. During this time, I'll be exploring my true calling within the world of yoga.
I firmly believe in the alignment of the Universe and the mysterious ways in which it operates. During this period of introspection, I will be open to new opportunities that may come my way.
In the meantime, I encourage you to stay connected by remaining a subscriber to my email list, and by following my Facebook and Instagram pages. I'll continue to share valuable content when I can, including written pieces and short videos aimed at enhancing your life and yoga practice.
