We are officially launching the fund drive for the re-construction of the school library to be implemented as soon as the resources for rebuilding becomes available and after the project shall have been given a go signal by the Board of Trustees.
Being a Mission school that caters to a large number of Dulangan Manobo scholars, Notre Dame of Kulaman has difficulty in funding big projects from tuition and miscellaneous revenues alone, which are barely enough to sustain the day to day operations. We rely on the benevolence of the DAMEANS and donors. Such is the case now where estimated costs of the planned projects reached over a million pesos.

Our smartest salute to the members of the SNA Bureau of Fire Protection led by Fire Insp Jose Vale Jr,, fire Marshall. They spearheaded the conduct of seminar workshop to our students on fire prevention, fire fighting and fire drill. Towards the end of the activity, they responded to a medical emergency involving a student showing the highest level of competence and professionalism. Dear DAMEANS, Friends of Notre Dame, Donors, Benefactors and people of goodwill

The Community Extension Services (CES) in partnership with the Student Body Organization and the IP Student Council will launch a fund-raising activity, which we will call NDK CAREs (Charitable Assistance in Response to Emergencies). The concept is the same with the SBO’s Piso Pamasko Program on Christmas Seasons in the recent years, but the difference is that NDK CAREs shall be a continuing activity. Students are enjoined to support the program by sparing some amount from their baons and dropping them in the designated collection boxes. Other benevolent individuals or organizations may donate through the CES Office. The fund shall be under the management of the CES subject to proper auditing. Donations shall be utilized in charitable works of the school like the Pamasko NDK and others.

The Program in general is a concrete expression of our core values of MISSIONARY SPIRIT and NURTURING, which we hope to inculcate to every DAMEAN. We are praying for the success of the program. Teachers are busily preparing for the IP Day Celebration. Recent years have seen NDK celebrating Agdaw Lumad but Lumad has been seen to have negative connotation and people in power deemed it derogatory so we need to make necessary adjustments. IP Day celebration shall now be called AGDAW TRIBU (until brilliant minds dub tribu inappropriate). It shall be a humble contribution of NDK to the cause of our IP brothers and sisters for recognition, acceptance, respect and equality.

The Notre Dame of Kulaman Inc. in her bid to develop the competence of the teachers and staff, sent them to a benchmarking activity to Notre Dame of Midsayap College. The teachers trooped to Midsayap in different mode of transportation and different routes but they arrived safely in their destination and received warmly by the host school. They were made to stay at the best accommodation that NDMC can offer, the Mini-hotel. Food was overflowing served by friendly staff and partaken by the teachers with gusto.
The bench-marking took place in the morning after a restful sleep. The Administrators and teachers of NDMC IBED went full force to extend all the help that they can give. Facilities were shown, best practices were shared and questions were answered by concerned officers and staff. The facilitators exhibited the highest level of hospitality and generosity by sharing everything they perceived to be of help to ND Kulaman. The teachers of NDK went out of their usual way and tried hard to observe, learn, think outside the box and find ways to adapt the new insights that they gained from the experience. In general, the activity hit its desired targets and gave more insights than expected. The teachers of NDK now are more confident that they are on the right track in their collective endeavour to give the best to students and pupils.
We would like to thank the Notre Dame of Midsayap College, the First Notre Dame school in Asia for playing best the role of the “Panganay” to ND Kulaman, the “Bunso” in the Oblate Educational System. We are overwhelmed by your generosity despite meeting and seeing us for the first time. We may not be able to pay you back but be assured that we shall pay forward.
Special Thanks to the office of the college president, Fr. Jonathan Domingo, OMI, the VPAA, the IBED Principal Dr. Daisy O. Medalla, the assistant principals of the different units, heads of offices, the Guidance office, the staff of the mini hotel , the KIA driver and everyone who has contributed to the success of the activity. Tonight, the NDK Family represented by the Faculty and staff bade farewell to Fr. John Jeneval Palomar, OMI who has been given a new assignment in Manila. Fr. John served as Director for three school years, two of which were Modular Distance Learning. He has served well and gave the needed guidance and ably steered the school as we weathered the pandemic with its restrictions and limitations. Now, he has been called somewhere else to do a difficult task of being a formator of future priests and religious. As DAMEANS, we never say goodbye to Fr. John because DAMEANS are Forever. Instead, we say ' Thank you" for being part and playing an important role in our journey as an institution.
We also welcomed Rev. Elmer Gumban, OMI, the incoming School Director. According to him, he was reluctant to take this job because he had no Administrative experience. He had teaching experiences in different Notre Dame Schools and those exposure to the Notre Dame system and tradition will surely come handy as he takes the highest position as the new school CEO.
Oblate Missionaries come and go, some stayed long and some didn't. Dubbed as "Commandos of the Church" they go where they are most needed. Administrators change but NDK remains unchanging in its commitment for excellence in delivering educational services to the young ones in Kulaman.
So long Fr. John, we will miss your presence and your fatherly figure. Please remember us in your prayers as we will surely pray for you. Welcome Rev. Elmer. NDK is your new home, your new Family.
