Tabuk City, Kalinga - On July 8, 2023, the Rotary Club of Tabuk held its highly anticipated turnover ceremony at the picturesque Rang-ay Eco-Adventure and Resort, marking the transition of leadership and the beginning of a new chapter for the esteemed service organization.
The turnover ceremony highlighted the achievements of the outgoing club president and welcomed the incoming president, who will lead the Rotary Club of Tabuk for the upcoming year.
The outgoing president, Marita Fe B. Masirag, delivered a heartfelt speech reflecting on the club's accomplishments during her tenure. She expressed gratitude to fellow Rotarians for their unwavering support and dedication to the club's mission of improving lives and making a positive impact in the community.
Under Masirag's leadership, the Rotary Club of Tabuk successfully implemented several impactful projects, including the donation of books, the construction of a clean water facility, and the provision of medical supplies to barangays.
During the ceremony, Mrs. Masirag handed over the reins to the incoming president, Engr Janrey P. Nalog, who outlined his vision and goals for the upcoming year. Engr. Nalog emphasized the importance of collaboration and community engagement in furthering the club's service initiatives. He expressed his commitment to building upon the club's previous successes and exploring new avenues to create a lasting impact in Tabuk City.

In his closing remarks, Marita expressed his confidence in Janrey's leadership abilities and encouraged all club members to extend their full support to the new president. She expressed optimism for a fruitful year ahead, filled with meaningful service projects and strengthened community partnerships.
The successful turnover ceremony at Rangay Resort served as a reminder of the Rotary Club of Tabuk's commitment to service above self. As the new leadership takes charge, the club is poised to continue its impactful work, improving the lives of individuals and communities while fostering goodwill and fellowship among its members.

The Rotary Club of Tabuk, headed by Club President Marita Fe B. Masirag, turned over the hand wash station at Tabuk City Central School. The Water and Sanitation Hygiene area is a district grant under the leadership of District 3770 Governor Marcelino โNoliโ S. Garcia Jr.
The project is a partnership between the Rotary Club of Tabuk and the Tabuk City Central School Parents-Teacher Association, headed by GPTA President Melody C. Dulawen. Here to witness the MOA signing are Punong Barangay Santiago Sotto, School Principal Several P. Tugas, and the members of the Rotary Club of Tabuk.
The Rotary Club of Tabuk participated in the 75th Anniversary & Recognition Ceremony of the Phil Red Cross-Kalinga Chapter on April 15, 2023. The Chapter celebrated this yearโs anniversary with a lecture demonstration on Hands-Only CPR, emphasizing the spirit of volunteerism through Red Cross & Zumba Fitness Party๐คธโโ๏ธ๐คธโโ๏ธ๐คธโโ๏ธ
It is with great opportunity to give assistance to Joel (husband of Jessica Mundo) for his employment at Kalinga State University. He is now employed as Electrician/Plumber at KSU, and that would help augment the needs of his wife and his children.

On April 14, 2023 in line with the Rotaryโs Theme for the month of April โMATERNAL & CHILD HEALTHโ the Club delivered help to Jessica R. Mundo & her family of Laya West who is bedridden due to meningitis. Her husband used to be a plumber in Manila but for now he takes care of Jessica. They have 4 children who are in Grades 3, 2, 5y/o & 1y/o.

On August 2022, the Club is in receipt of a solicitation letter from Balantoy ES, Balantoy, Balbalan, Kalinga. The earthquake last July 2022 cause the cracked of the partition wall between the Principalโs Office & the Kindergarten room. The members agreed to use the clubโs calamity fund for the construction of the partition & personal donations were added.

The members appeal to the public to maintain its cleanliness and avoid uprooting the newly planted greeneries.

They had a photo opportunity in the newly refurbished marker, which served as one of the prominent landmarks in the city.
Special thanks to the City Mayorโs Office, headed by Mayor Darwin C. Estraรฑero, for the permit, the Riders c/o Rtn Jage Babate Caddumlay for the assistance, Mr. John Viscayno of the Tabuk City Tourism for documenting the event, and Rtn Mila M Duyan for sponsoring the participantsโ breakfast.

The Rotary Club of Tabuk attended the Rotary District 3770-Christmas Party for Northern Clubs with the theme โPasko na sa Norte.โ
Due to the pandemic, two years have passed since the district has organized a Christmas party. As the situation eased, the members were in full force in joining the event hosted by the Rotary Club of San Mateo Balatong.
Life-Changing President Rene Callueng is lobbying for RC-Tabuk to host next year's district Christmas party. This will be the first time that RC Tabuk will host a district activity if ever approved. Moreover, President-Elect Joy Chaclag is more than willing to accept the responsibility.

The Rotary Club of Tabuk, headed by Pres. Ren Callueng, organized a Rotary Community Corps (RCC) in Sitio Burayukan, Brgy Balong.
Past-President Gerry Dona-al presented a brief background and the vision of the Rotary Club International to the attendees. Afterward, Past-President Maricel Kiley explained the RCC concept as well as the functions and duties of the targeted members.
During the RCC orientation, the attendees received face masks donated by District 3770 and various donors. Alcohol spray bottles and bond paper for the pupils of Burayukan Elementary School were also distributed care of the RC-Tabuk members.
A Rotary Community Corps (RCC) is a group of non-Rotarians who share our commitment to changing the world through service projects. All in all, Rotary Club of Tabuk has now organized six Rotary Community Corps in the city, to wit:

4. Magabbangon RCC

In celebration of , the Rotary Club of Tabuk conducted a 2-kilometer stretch clean-up drive from the Agbannawag Checkpoint to Rotary Marker at Talaca.

The Rotary Club of Tabuk donated two (2) foot pressed alcohol dispensers, face masks and gallons of alcohol to the Saint Williamโs Cathedral on September 30, 2021. This was made possible through the generosity of our partner-donors: Hon. Darwin C. Estraรฑero, Hon. Henry B. Tubban, Jr., Hon. Kristian B. Wandag and Calebs Catering.
The Rotary Club of Tabuk and Rotary District 3770 joins you in celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child.
Quarterly inspection and monitoring of Guilayon Integrated School (formerly Guilayon Elementary School), one of the beneficiary-communities of a Global Grant Project of the Rotary Club of Tabuk. This project is among the school based handwash stations which were submitted by the Department of Educations - Schools Division Office Tabuk City to compete in the regional level for outstanding handwash stations.
The Rotary Club of Tabuk donated 2 units of alcohol dispensers with thermal scanner and 2 gallons of alcohol to the St. Joseph Church in Dagupan Centro, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Happening Now:
The Rotary Club International-Tabuk City and Integrated Bar of The Phillippines-Kalinga Chapter are conducting a joint tree planting activity at Talaca, Agbannawag.
Atty Rene Callueng, president of both civic organizations, spearheaded the activity. He is looking forward to more actions and programs linked between Rotarians and lawyers of Kalinga.
Outdoor fellowship brunch is scheduled after the activity.
