Exposed

This photo taken a few years back exposes not only my body but also the little Sony camera I had been using for all of my photos up to that point. Many voiced their surprise. And I myself, while I loved it for having allowed me to do all the things I had wanted to create, felt ashamed for it not being up to par with the equipment of a “real” photographer. I had even turned down a job because I thought people would not take me seriously if I showed up with this camera, even though the people who had wanted to hire me had based their judgment on my work and not my equipment. I now do appreciate a nice slr camera but I also know that the camera does not make the artist.

apparently "In the ancient northern religions it was the female horned reindeer who drew the sleigh of the mother or sun goddess at winter solstice. It was when we “Christianized” the pagan traditions of winter, that the white bearded man i.e. “Father Christmas” was born."

so i'm sharing this image i made knowing nothing of this tradition.... because i am a pagan at heart, be merry all you mothers and fathers of yuletide.
