Father, you were the most complicated person I’ve ever known. This is such a conflicting feeling. There were moments when I could see you peaking through trying to be good and better through a lifetime of trauma. Mostly you failed but at some points I saw the child inside trying to try.
I’m sorry your life was so painful and in turn you inflicted the same agony on yourself and others. I’m trying to reflect on the positive which is hard, I know you were a whole person despite my experience of you and hopefully you created some good for other people in your last few years. I’m not sorry that I am not a forgiving person because you made me this way and it has served me thus far. I wouldn’t exist without you but you no longer exist. I don’t really know what to say or think or feel about you. I wish your life could have been easier, nicer and that you could have gotten to experience a lot more sweetness and love. I’m sad that it ended the way that it did but I am thankful that we’re all free.

Spending storm day today putting finishing touches on my new ambient experimental album

Reflecting on this last chapter of my musical journey as it’s closing
I have one more music video from it still to put out into the world that should be coming soon!
That will be the official close to the chapter ‘Nightmare In Paradise’
A much needed exploration of more subdued and somewhat traditional song making
I view that record kind of like a biopsy or like the pre-cancerous cells I had removed in 2020
They were a part of me but I had to get them out of my body to progress in a healthier way

I’m excited to move forward because as you know I never stop creating
Almost done with the debut Pride Month Barbie pridemonthbarbie EP that I’ve made with my love miss
I have an ambient experimental record which is so close to being done and I have a whole nother record that I started recording in 2021 that is my first foray into full composition and writing every single note for the band to play (no improv!)

Feels fitting to start this year ruminating on the film we created for ‘To Accept’ which is about humans relationship to technology and how it can help and hinder our evolution, I’m thinking about everything I’ve had to give up or let go to be a better version of myself moving into my new life here in my 30s in a new city for the first time
I’ve been reborn a million times and it never stops hurting and the grief never stops but the creature I become is always better off than the creature before her
