The lads played Bramley Sunnyside Junior Football Club u9’s at Parkgate Astro

Bramley put up a brave fight and gave us a good game but in the end we proved too much for them. Some quality football on display, some great goals and a thoroughly enjoyable game.

Game day tomorrow!

Another friendly, this time against Bramley Sunnyside Junior Football Club u9.

Bramley have asked for this game as they want to test themselves. It’s a testament to our boys and the way that they play that other teams see us as a benchmark.

We are looking forward to the challenge ⚽️💚🤍

3 or 4 times a week I rush my evening meal to taxi my child to a cold 3G pitch or a muddy and wet match day. I stand around in the cold, the wet, the wind, sometimes the snow, rarely the sun. Then my child either gets a tonne of those black balls from the 3G pitch all over my car and my house or lots, and I mean lots of mud in the car and house. My washing cycle is permanently on to make sure my child has the right kit for training, match and it's pristine every time. This is our family ritual, we do it every week of every month, all year round. You might think I'm complaining, far from it, I will do this until I'm no longer wanted or needed or my child stops playing because deep down I love nothing more than watching my child's dedication and love for the sport. It brings me great pride and great joy to know they're having fun and loving playing. I will do it, and I will brave every element nature has to throw at me because I dread the day when it ends.

Another training game for the boys last night.
Playing the u10 whites again and probably giving one of our best performances yet in a 6-0 win.

The boys played 9v9 to keep everyone moving. They were physically strong, technically superb and very clinical when it came to finishing.
Plenty of goalscorers and a clean sheet!

First game of 2024 for the lads today and boy did they start the new year with a bang!!

After a very late change in opponent we welcomed Mosborough FC u9’s to Parkgate Astro this morning.

Mosborough put up a very brave fight but unfortunately for them the difference in levels that the two teams are playing at just proved too much for them.

Our boys were strong, skillful and very clinical in front of goal to take a very big win and a clean sheet.

Well done to all the boys this morning and well done to Mosborough for giving us a game. We wish you all the best for the rest of the season ⚽️💚🤍
