The world can seem scary and things can feel heavy with everything that is going on these days.
I hope that we can bring some light back into our lives with some exercise for not just our physical body but also our spirit. We tend to spend a lot of time focused on the physical, but we can do some positive exercise for our souls too ✨
Practicing gratitude can help increase our capacity for peace, kindness, and joy in the world (and we certainly need more of that).
Let’s remember to always feel gratitude.
Easy exercise - grab a piece of paper and start writing down everything in your life that you are thankful for, big or small. Really feel those feelings and spend as much time as you can there. Please share a few and let’s spread the joy and light!

Stop accepting your negative thoughts.
Never apologize for who you are or what you like.
Don't compare yourself to others - you are unique.
Try to accept your "flaws" as part of what makes you YOU.
Reject the media's limited ideal of beauty - create your own!
Remember that perfection is unattainable without acceptance.
Know that acceptance doesn't happen overnight.

This season of little people, big needs, busy days, and stuck at home can feel overwhelming.
Honestly it is hard for me to NOT let the chaos get to me!

Being a mom is one of the toughest but also most rewarding jobs out there.
Job description (included but not limited to):
house keeper, personal chef, nutritionist,
taxi driver, referee, nurse, teacher, counselor, multitasking problem solver...
Must be:
loving, caring, compassionate, patient, kind and willing to drop everything to do anything that comes up at any given time all while remaining sane...
You must do all of the above plus many other duties that arise while simultaneously attempting to:
take care of yourself physically and mentally, spend quality time with your hubby, have a social life with actual friends, and if you’re a total rockstar - manage a career!

it can be exhausting, frustrating and even feel virtually impossible at times

I was 25yrs old, when I lost my mom. That’s also when I lost my identity.
Growing up, I lacked self confidence. I was the one who’s face would turn beet red when the attention was on me.
But, I was figuring out who I was, learning my strengths, my likes and finding my self worth. I was working on coming out of my shell.
Having a sick mom is not easy. My sweet mom was diagnosed stage IIII metastatic ovarian cancer at the age of 39. I was only 16yrs old. She was given 6mos or less to live. But, this was unacceptable to her. She fought a hard battle for 7.5 years! She taught me an invaluable lesson - It’s easier to give up than to fight but if you want something bad enough you REFUSE to quit!!
Fight for what you want in life!
When she left us, my eyes were opened. I knew I wasn’t going to settle for less than I wanted out of this life.
I quickly transitioned into a courageous, hopeful intrepid. I was moving forward with no looking back.
Self doubt is a part of life, but we are so much stronger than we give ourselves credit for.
Believe in your ability to figure things out. You can be confident but still have doubts about your capabilities. You can actually use self doubt as a tool to motivate you to stay driven to go after what you want.
Remind yourself of all the times you have overcome what you didn’t know and keep up the positive self talk. That will put you on the path to genuine self-confidence and learning your way into the strongest you!
Y’all! Can I tell you, I’ve been really struggling!
I have not been myself. Not even close!
Here we are, almost March and this new year 2020 vision has been a complete blur.
I wake up already overwhelmed and lay down feeling defeated more days than not.
I feel the pressure. Pressure to keep up, to keep going, to stay ahead and pressure not to crack under pressure.
I’m a mom. I take care of so many other people, I put me last and haven’t had much left over for me. No wonder I have been so stressed. I have forgotten that I can’t give my best to my family if I don’t take time to breathe and
I was blessed with an advanced reader’s copy of this incredible book and I could NOT put it down. Now, I’m drawing a line in the sand! I am gonna get out of my own way and no more with trying to pour from an empty cup.
No more struggling with reaching my full potential!No more feeling like I self sabotage and no more negative self talk!

We don’t get to spend Veterans Day with our hero today, the Army is borrowing him briefly but we are always and forever grateful for all of his selfless sacrifices.

I so love spending time with this sweet girl. It warms my heart to see her so passionate and dedicated to this sport. She may have put me to work tonight and made me sweat but when she’s happy, I’m happy!! 😍

I’ve already had 2 incredible days with some AMAZING women where we are setting goals, encouraging each other, crushing workouts and working on renewing our mindset.
We are ALL in this together.
We aren’t perfect, by far, but we will make each day count towards our progress. Our goal is to compound 100 days of healthy habits and create a healthy lifestyle!

I can't imagine life without my forever date.
We have the best time together, even when our nights out aren’t fancy, expensive or even planned.
We forget about the stress and responsibilities for a moment and just enjoy each others company!
So, for us, date nights are the perfect solution to get away from the daily grind. A true escape with our best friend that is both fun AND strengthens our marriage.

I am totally guilty of letting the long list of “to do’s” overwhelm me and forgetting to embrace the joy.
But I have found that it’s true, laughing is the best medicine! When we laugh we produce endorphins that make us feel good and give us a sense of well-being.
So don’t take life too seriously, watch a funny video, listen to a comedian, be silly and learn to regularly laugh out loud 🤣

Each day brings something new and I have this new found EXCITEMENT that’s been missing in my workouts lately. I know from experience that when I get BORED, the dedication fades and it makes it hard to stay on track.
Today I did Core Inferno and hammered my abs and glutes, yesterday was a fat blasting cardio workout and tomorrow is all about sculpting my arms and shoulders.
And at just 20-30 min each, it makes fitting in fitness with this crazy Summer schedule possible👌🏻

It's that little bit of quiet time that I have to myself before everyone wakes up and all the chaos takes over. I've definitely gone back and forth between hitting snooze and jumping out of bed. But getting up always proves worth it!
And I truly believe how I start the day, really determines my mood for the rest of the day. When I can do a little meditation, devotional time, practice gratitude, move my body and get a good sweat in, that's when I feel like a mom on a mission no matter what the day throws at me.

After such an amazing self discovery weekend in Indy, it sure feels good to be home and ready to jump back into the swing of things!
I am a firm believer in the “absence makes the heart grow fonder” theory. Sometimes, the best way to feel even more thankful for what you have, is to get a break away to focus on you for a few days.
It’s important to take care of both your mind and body. It will pay off in many ways, including:
*Allowing you to take charge of your life and feel good about the choices you make.
*Gaining energy and feeling more fit.
*Improving your physical health.
*Gaining a positive outlook and finding more enjoyment in your life.
*Being a role model for your family and friends.
Any lifestyle change is a “work in progress.” Lasting changes take time. So, begin by setting small goals that are easy to add to your daily life and that you control. Wellness and fitness involve being aware and making healthy choices about nutrition, exercise, and staying positive.

The days are just flying by and before you know it you’re going to wish you would have followed through on those goals you set for your health and for that summer bod.
Now before you say “oh yeah right, its too late,” and throw in the towel, go binge eat a platter of hot wings followed by some chocolate chip cookies remember…with procrastination, there also comes some hard work to get results in a short amount of time. But it can absolutely be done, one step at a time.

LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED Y’ALL!!🎉
Don’t worry about setting a goal weight or what your body looks like, just focus on working hard until you feel comfortable in your own skin. Whatever comfortable is for you, go for it! Don’t stop until you can FEEL it! 💪🏻

I heard this so many times before it sunk in and I took charge to change my ways. I was closed minded, living in my busy, day to day and my nutrition consisted of whatever was left on the kiddos plates. I didn’t even have time to think about myself in the present tense, let alone my future self...
