Completed macramé plant hanger.

Have you heard of “Buy Nothing” groups? A neighbour that I’ve never met asked for a macramé plant hanger and when I realized no one responded I offered to make one. This is the result.

Back in the late 80s I taught macramé to the 3rd year Brownies to complete their program. I remember using the gym cloak room hooks to work those knots!!

Today was a fudgy day!

One of my former co-workers used to say they looked like little poopies 💩 but she *always* had some when I made them!! Sooo delicious!

Just received this card that my friend cross stitched in 2007 - and we send it back and forth each year! 🎄🧑‍🎄🎅🎁

All caught up on the outfits I cut out so many years ago!! Lol.

On this one, we won’t talk about how hard it is to tell the Right side from the Wrong side of this fabric. Lol. Or that the sleeves are both the wrong side out! Because after I did the first one wrong, I just made sure the second one matched! Lol. See? It IS hard to tell!! 😁

Now. Put the sewing machine away. And get the wrapping done. 🎁🎁

The dress is my favourite.
Let’s not talk about the gown - and how I sewed one sleeve on inside-out. 🤦‍♀️ I put it down while I thought about just trashing it because I thought it would fray too much. Next day I carefully picked out the stitches and fixed it. 😁 sometimes you just have to step away for a while! 😊

Next: one of two green dresses.

Looking at these pieces I realized I cut out those smallest pieces and didn’t need to. Lol. This one will be pretty. I’m sure of it.

I knit a Kindness Shawl in human size and so decided to try it in Barbie size.
This is my second attempt and I really like the way it turned out.

I chose to sew the blue gowns and dresses next because there were a few cut out.
Much to my surprise there are even more than these four!!
So there’s more to sew!

And there is a larger project I should get back to but I felt the need to use tiny knitting needles and try a shawl pattern for Barbie. 😊
And a hat.
And mittens (which could also be socks).

Since it goes nice with the light coloured faux fur coat, I decided this would be part of a Christmas gift this year!

The “before” photo of the skirt & shawl outfits that I found. Luckily I’d written the pattern numbers on a slip of paper in case I needed instructions.
