1• be conscious of what you are consuming.
2• say no to perfectionism - instead note where you feel you can do better, take note and take steps towards your goal. No need to get there instantly for everything. Better changes that you will keep than trying too much.
3• community, share and rejoice in other people's growth and your own.
4• let your friends and family know that you are taking part and let them know that it's not about being perfect and creating zero plastic but instead about making easy changes that I can have a big impact. Can't remember who's said about how it's better millions of people trying zero waste imperfectly rather than a handful of people doing it perfectly. Spread the word! .

My easiest changes were quitting plastic bottles (water I just use tap water as research shows that it's safer anyway) (smoothies I make at home) ( juice now I save for special occasions to buy freshly pressed into my own cup). Plastic cutlery was an easy goal for me as I simply took one of my home cutlery (I still forget it sometimes but much much less than before) and the menstrual cup has been revolutionary for me and from chatting to friends for many other people too. Putting aside the environment the menstrual cup has given me so much more freedom and saved me so much heartache and money!
Fruit, veg and dairy alternatives I find hard to do zero waste. .
