I am resigning as Head Football Coach at Leon High School to take the same position at White County High School in Cleveland, Georgia. My four years here have been rewarding and it has been inspirational to watch Leon Football rise again in Tallahassee. I owe a special debt of gratitude to the assistant coaches and players for their tireless efforts and the work they have done to make Leon Football a great program. I especially want to thank the dedicated staff which has gone above and beyond to get Leon players into college programs. During our 4 year tenure, we have seen more than 40 Lion Football players sign to play in college. My family and I will always be Lions. We now look forward to a new chapter of our lives as we make our new home in Georgia.

I don't often visit friends' high school alumni pages, but today, I wanted to share a personal thought on some of your graduates, and some of Leon's present students. My husband and I were in Tallahassee to attend Goodwood Jams, a benefit for that lovely museum and it's gardens. As we listened to The Good Little Chickens, current students, perform I said to my husband "I'd bet the farm it's the same musical director/teacher". The next band to perform was Tishamingo, a band many of you may have heard of over the past 15 or more years, as it's founders and members are Leon High School Alumni. Whoever this music teacher is, he's been doing an amazing thing for many years. Y'all are very lucky to have him, or to have been taught by him. Tishamingo doesn't play much, they definitely don't rehearse or even get to see each other much, so, watch this....your alumni are amazing musicians and composers.
