One sleeve is done! πͺ
It's lovely out π
Simon wanted to show you the progress (especially the last picture). I've really neglected this cardigan. I took it with me on vacation and knitted for 0 hours π but I did enjoy the sunshine so I'm not mad about that. I'm at the finish line with the body, then it's on to sleeves. Who knows how long those will take πhoping it'll be ready for fall - I think that's a very realistic expectation haha. Do you have any fun WIPs?
The progress is slow but it's there π

3 years ago, wow. I think this was my most successful collection. I loved how playful it was.

Yesterday I gave myself a gift of knitting all afternoon/evening and I'm halfway through the body now!

A year ago I decided to take a break from running my business full time. A full time job landed in my lap and I took it. I haven't tufted in a very long time and I miss it. A lot has changed in my life in the past year. The biggest change, however, is that the job allowed me to create just for fun and I've been creating A LOT. I knitted multiple sweaters which allowed me to take my knitting skills to the next level. I've learned to knit socks as well!
Lately, cross stitch has been calling me so that's what I've been doing. I finally finished my MAKER kit from and I love it so much. I've been so focused on making this account about tufting and I was afraid to share other crafts, but why? I'm a maker through and through so here's my latest project - πππ which is also from .
I'm not sure where the future is going in terms of m&j, but I'm still here, creating more than ever, just not posting about all of it because I learned that's been sucking the joy out of creating.
Hope you're all well!
I finished! It is supposed to be 29C/90F today but I had to put it on and show you ππ I love love love it and I can't wait to be cozy when sweater weather comes! Still deciding if I should make it longer but there's plenty of time to decide that. The original pattern is more oversized but this is the fit I wanted and I'm happy with the way it turned out!

What, no video? That's right. This has lately been my happy place - I've been on such a knitting ride and it's been super fun! Add hot cocoa and Simon and I'm the happiest π what's your favorite relaxation?
Right now I'm knitting by with yummy yarn from . Danish designer and danish yarn. Can go wrong!

I fail to find words...
The fact that people claim that government can't tell us we cannot have guns or that we have to wear masks, but they CAN tell women what to do with our bodies??? There is no such law for men and there's a reason..
I worry for my kid's future. For his friends and future partners.
What about women who are r***d? Are they to live with the reminder forever if they get pregnant?
What about families who cannot provide for another child? Are they to bring a child into poverty and system that can't support them?
What about women whose bodies cannot support healthy pregnancy?
What about women who choose not to be mothers?
The list goes on and on...
Abortion prevention starts somewhere else not with forced births.
Abortion is not an easy decision either. The mental health ramifications stay with women forever. Stop acting like it's similar to getting a flu shot!
I am outraged and heart broken and I am speaking up.
Here she is, in full beauty. In a messy office. That's the realityπ
Today is the last day to get early bird pricing for the whole vault! Chances are you won't be able to watch all the courses live and even if you did you'll want to be able to come back to them, right? πThe vault gives you access to all of them at any time! Swipe to see pricingπmy lesson airs tomorrow at 2pm PST!
Current reality of life - started a new temporary job today so my office is exactly what you see here - tapestry in progress, drawings, air compressor, yarn, etc. Can't complain though. Happy Monday!
Hey, it's me! I haven't done an introduction in forever so today is the day π
Hi guys, my name is Andie and I'm the person behind everything Myra & Jean. This is a one woman show and it has been for almost 5 years (wow!).
Some facts about me:
- I don't own shoes with heels π or a traditional braπ. Owning my own business really taught me to listen to myself and figure out what I like and want so I was able to shed a lot of societal expectations and just be me.
- I hate beer πΊ. despise it.
- I always wanted to be a hairstylist πββοΈ but didn't get a chance to learn because it wasn't seen as a proper job. I never gave up though and I use to dye my hair a lot myself and also cut it with great results!
- I stopped drinking coffee β 8 years ago (whoa) and I've been matcha π΅ and tea obsessed ever since.
- I have a sweet tooth but I'm very selective. cakeπ° and ice cream π§before candy ππ¬and I don't like most frostings ππ
- I love to bake π§but don't enjoy cooking so much π³
tell me something about you!

A year ago?? Wow! I'm waiting to get parts for my tufting gun but in the meantime I'm plotting next fun pieces π
Happy Tuesday!
This baby is going to its new home today so I'm doing last minute touch-ups because I can never stop myself haha. Also, this room π I would love to have something like this in my house one day.
It's here! And here's a bit of a preview of the awesomeness that awaits you! Watercolor, quilting, sublimation, you name it. You only have this week to sign up so don't wait π AND I made you a kit for it as well!
Details, details π

1. Coffee cherries being washed
2. Coffee raking (btw, the coolest discovery for me in terms of the whole process. Google it!)
3. Sun going down over the hills
