Hi Folks!!!
I know a lot of you have been contacting me of late to do commission work, which is always fun and appreciative.
However I am not taking on leather projects until at least December (2021 obviously). I just don't have the patience, materials or drive to do it right now. My focuses are elsewhere for the next few months
I will however announce when I am getting back into it.
Something I working on
I have been working for a few days in this piece. It is the front of a DM screen.
Neat stuff to be posted this weekend hopefully
Working on something large
Back to wood burning now with a new tool to speed up the process so I don’t kill my hand
This is the last thing I am making until 2021. It has been a long quarantine and all funds and materials have dried up. I have been staring at this piece for weeks now trying to get the ambition to tackle it. Now it is nearly finished.
Things have slowed down crafting wise due to the day job as well as the casual work I do as a side gig. Hopefully things will smooth out in the next week so I can get back to creating sweet sweet things before Xmas hits us.
More moths....
moths...
Still working on formal sporrans. I'm not done making them quite yet.
Hello "Junkers"... I know by now I have a bunch of leather bound sketchbooks up, but I'm running behind and have about 5 more pouch/sporrans to finish. Once they are done, the books will begin to roll out.
In the mean time, I am making designs. How about this?
finally getting around to requested work
My new phone does not seem to know the differences between my accounts. Silly piece of technology.
Anyways... This one is made nearly entirely of oil-tan to ensure things stay dry----ish
Know your traditional sporran parts
This is a Cantel. It sits at the top of a fancy sporran (aka a formal wear). It has a simple hinge and is often riveted to the leather pouch.
They are lovely and come in all shapes, sizes and metals including brass, gold, silver, tin, and aluminum.
While I would love yo be able to get my hands on them, its been a no go for several years now. They are hard to come by because they are often custom made for order and get quite pricey.

rabbit fur sporran
wood and leather belting sporran
Two fancy formal sporrans completed. Three more to go. Picture to start rolling out in a few days, then to take designs to another level after that
Big projects ahead thanks to Cait Crozier. She gonna get a special treat when all this is said and done.
