Crohn's Disease Treatment Options 06/12/2023

One of the biggest decisions an individual will make is what type of treatment options that they wish to pursue in their journey of living with Crohn's. The treatment options are dependent upon an individual's current status regarding the disease and the intensity needed in order to manage it. Unfortunately, at this time there is no cure for this disease and any treatment options that are available are solely for the purpose of managing the symptoms. One of the biggest factors that go into the management of Crohn's and colitis is the diet that the patient has and the avoidance of specific trigger foods that can cause symptom flares and further complications.

Crohn’s Disease Diagnosis and Testing 03/12/2023

Not knowing what is happening with your own body can be a terrifying and exhausting experience. I remember when I first started having my symptoms. I knew that something was not right when they wouldn't go away but I was terrified to go to the doctor and find out what was wrong. I lived undiagnosed with my symptoms for almost ten years before a kidney stone required surgery and other testing was done. I have been attempting to control my Crohn's for around 4 years now and have an assessment coming soon to see if it has progressed. As scary as the symptoms and procedures are, I am so thankful that I got the help I needed and came to the realization that I am not alone in my journey. Attached below is some of the procedures that can take place during the process of diagnosis.
