Just a couple of videos featuring Ben McKee of Imagine Dragons, playing along to my guitar and vocal tracks for Jingle Bell Rock. 🥲❤️
This was such a fun night! I got to spend time in San Francisco with my work peeps and record music for fun while there with an ICON.
It was a cool challenge since I hadn’t played in quite a bit, and we learned the song on the spot! Not bad for three takes with a group of musicians that have never played together before!
So so grateful!
I got to fly down to San Francisco for a Holiday party with my Women's Audio Mission work family!
To top it all off, I got to record Jingle Bell Rock with Ben McKee, the bassist of Imagine Dragons at the WAM studio!
I don’t know how I keep getting myself into these amazing situations, but I’m gonna keep going! 💪💪💪

What an honor it was to be asked by our Founder Terri Winston, to moderate the Live Sound panel on Friday night. This panel consisted of the most down-to-earth, inspiring, and ICONIC women in audio. I can’t tell you what it meant to see my name on that big screen next to them. I hope to follow in their footsteps one day and be a panelist at one of these things! Please take a second to read their bios. If you don’t know who they are, then you absolutely should! 🙌
Thank you, , , and .showfile. I appreciate you three so very much!

🌅 Craig lit up the world.
I remember his first day (at NAMM!) and clicking quickly with our taste in weird bands, comedians, live looping gadgets, and so much more.
He also sat behind me at Mackie! If you knew Craig, you probably also know I didn't get much work done the days we worked together. Man, that guy could talk, but in the best ways! It was too easy to let a whole day slip through your hands when a conversation started.
I absolutely LOVED working with him, and a Livestream was always so easy when he was there. He was a natural star, and people gravitated toward him. One time someone commented live that he looked like a cool dad, which made him laugh so much!
I am so very sad that there is now a world without this precious person. I keep wanting to text him about a new band or a standup special that's out. There was so much left in him, and I can't believe we don't get to see all of the ideas he had brewing come to fruition. I know Mackie will do their best to continue his legacy.
I am very honored to have worked and learned from him for as long as I could, and if he was in your life for even a brief moment, I'm sure you feel the same.
I will never forget you, Craig. ✨

The Mackie family would like to take a moment to acknowledge the life and memory of our friend Craig Reeves. Many Mackoids may already know Craig for his contributions in the MI / Pro Audio space, and for his involvement with the DJ and Creator communities.
Having come from the world of broadcast, including stints at CBS Atlanta, The Weather Channel and CNN, Craig later made his transition into product management, a natural fit. At Mackie, he led the introduction of our microphone and headphone lines and was most proud of his creation the M•Caster Live, which he passionately designed to improve the life and workflow of countless creative needs.
In life, Craig was a son and a brother, a singer and a DJ, a gamer and technologist, and so much more. We wish the best to his friends and his family, and hope to honor his creative spark by continuing to do the best we can for the communities he was so passionate about.
Friends of Craig, or other audio enthusiasts, can make a donation to the Hearing Health Foundation in his memory to help prevent and cure hearing loss at the link provided: https://bit.ly/3b03GzR

We even chatted about the show WE played together almost ten years ago in my hometown of El Paso, Texas!
Thank you so much, Emily! 💚

⚡️ I’m so excited to share that I have started a new job as Marketing Manager at Women's Audio Mission, home to the only professional recording studio built and run by women/GNC individuals.
Ever since I learned about WAM and interviewed Terri Winston on the Mackie Podcast, I was so happy and relieved that an organization like them existed.
⚡️ WAM is changing the face of sound by providing hands-on training, work experience, career counseling, and job placement to over 4,000 women and girls every year in creative technology for music, radio, film, television, and the internet.
As you can imagine, this was not an easy decision. My past five years at Mackie have been an incredible learning experience, and I have made deep connections and great friendships that will last a lifetime. Thank you to my Mackie team for the laughs, tears, and amazing teamwork. I look forward to collaborating from the other side!
⚡️ I am so excited about this new adventure and thrilled to work with a team that shares my same passion for amplifying the voices of underserved markets.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to support me and my family as I move forward in my career!

I drooled over this guitar online for so long. One day as I was visiting Hubbard’s Music in Las Cruces, I saw this beauty hanging. They had just pulled her out of the box and hadn’t even put a price tag on.
It was love at first sight. 😍

What an honor it is to get to close it off with Chris Ballew, lead singer of the Presidents Of The United States Of America, who was responsible for earworm-y hits like “Kitty,” “Lump,” and “Peaches".
"Under the name Caspar Babypants, he’s recorded nineteen albums featuring 362 songs, and performed over 1200 shows for kids and their parents. Now, as he transitions into new solo material, he talks to Jamie Hernandez about his early years touring with Beck’s band, how his wife Kate Endle’s art inspired Caspar Babypants’ music, and the spiritual explorations that drive his new solo material."

Chris Pennie is a world-renowned drummer, known for his time in the Dillinger Escape Plan and Coheed and Cambria. He’s also one of the hardest-working people in the business; writer, composer, producer, and engineer.

Now, as Return To Earth prepares to release their new album Oblivion, Chris talks to me about the album that made him a rock and roll fan, working on commercial and film projects, and why now was the right time to bring back Return To Earth.

Happy Friday Everyone!
I love when a podcast guest can relax and have some fun!
I wanted to share this fun clip of Chris Pennie's reaction to my favorite interview question, "Who would play you in the movie of your life?". His response is hilarious, and it reminds me that we don't always have to take everything so seriously during interviews!
