Today we said goodbye to our wonderful Esprit Junior team Team Coordinator Barbara Altschwager. You were the most selfless, courageous, strong, caring & dedicated TC. Your number one priority was always the girls. We won 5 National Junior Championships together (3 Black Diamonds, 2 Esprit) we were a formidable duo. Esprit Drilldance will miss you endlessly. RIP Aunty Barb you’ve earned it ❤️🖤💛
The beautiful Esprit Intermediates performing their Exhibition Drill @ the 2023 Inaugural Aust & NZ Drilldance & Marching Tattoo held on the Gold Coast. Some of these girls haven’t marched for 3-4 years, 4 x U13s that march up & a couple of brand new girls sooooo proud of these girls performance.

Unfortunately, we're missing Demi, Joanne and Karen, from this pic; life gets in the way at times, but we'll all be catching up in a few weeks at Esprit Drilldance club presentation evening.
Tonight was dinner and debrief and laughter, followed up with a photo opportunity in the women's bathroom after we saw the sign, "mums gone wild" - so of course we had to crowd in and get the photo!

Some fun memories from the recent Drilldance Nationals in Penrith. The first pic, of Lorraine Speer and I - she was my first coach and as a 6yr old, I idolised her. Still love her to bits. Such a thrill to march with her again. All of these ladies are fabzy x Some I marched with decades ago, a couple altho still in the same club "back in the day", were in younger age groups to me when I finished up the first time round ;) and others I've got to know the past couple of years. ❤💛🖤
And of course, friendships made with other teams both in SA and also interstate.
