Calendula & Rose Herbal Works

After a number of requests, I am very excited to announce I will be running herbal workshops this season. Join me and learn how to grow, harvest, infuse & craft your own Calendula Salve! Participants will be able to take home a calendula monograph, jar of infused oil, jar of salve & packet of seeds.

Bedtime Bliss sleep tincture

Teas are lovely for winding down before bed, but if you drink too much you can end up waking in the night to go to the bathroom! A tincture is a helpful way to get the effect you need without all of the liquid. Keep it beside your bed at night & take a second dose if you do wake up.

Scar & Stretch Salve $15/30ml jar
Made with Saturna grown Comfrey & Calendula, harvested from my garden. I formulated this blend for my son Sampson, who tripped and cut his forehead pretty badly a few weeks ago. I'm confident it will help heal his scar and am excited to try it out on my stretch marks as well! This blend contains some fantastic ingredients for skin: Gotu kola, a herb renowned for healing scars due to its ability to increase collagen production. Comfrey has been traditionally used to heal skin & I used a double infusion of both the leaf & root, harvested from my own garden. Calendula is well known as the mother herb of skin conditions. Vitamin E is known to help with scars, stretch marks, wrinkles and many other common skin ailments.

A beautiful day for digging roots! Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) has a rich and fascinating history of use in healing broken bones, wounds and much more. One of its other common names; knitbone, is derived from its useful property of healing broken bones & wounds. It has even been used by orthopedic surgeons on complicated bone fractures. This property has been known at least since Roman times when it was named conferva, meaning to join together.

Hawthorn & Elderberry have many traditional uses and are also packed with nutritive qualities.
Hawthorn has traditionally been used as a cardiac tonic, a calming nervine, to lower blood pressure and to strengthen blood vessels. Elderberry has traditionally been used to strengthen the immune system and protect against infection.
