Happy 4th to all who celebrate. It’s a day of mixed emotions for me. I appreciate the opportunities we have while recognizing the costs that have been paid.
It’s also with trepidation as we enter the next election cycle. How disheartening the decisions of the Supreme Court have been in regards to abortion and affirmative action.
And yet Z E R O has been done to curb gun violence against our most vulnerable.
Lots to ponder as I am a week into my 51st trip around the Sun. So very grateful for my family, dear friends, and the work of .

Saw something new to us…

Happy 4th wherever you are celebrating. We are here near Akron OH thinking of all the families whose lives have changed since June 27th.

It’s hard to say “Happy” on this day when we honor the bravery and honor of the people who died in service to our country.
And “Thank You” is by far an understatement to the families who are left behind to grieve.
As our children get older and I hear one of them expressing an interest in military service, I how I can be as gracious and supportive as all the other mothers who have given their children their blessing to follow this selfless path.
