Great Britain Deaf Football receive no central funding from the UK Government or any other sources and we need your help. Our fundraising page and sponsorship packages will be launched soon.
The Great Britain Deaf Women‘s Football Squad have started training preparations for their potential Deaflympics 2025 qualifier games this year (tbc). As a self funded team, we are currently looking for support or donations of the following:
- first aid items such as a trauma bag, kinesiology tape
- resistance mini and large power bands
- informed sport approved nutrition
- portable physio bed
- bibs (ideally numbered)
- iPad for sports science monitoring during camps
- social media/photography/video equipment
- portable ice making machine

- have a hearing loss of 55 decibels in their better ear
- be 16 years old by 15/11/2025

GBDF are pleased to announce Ryan Lewis as the new Head Coach for GB Deaf Women’s Football. We are waiting for EDSO to officially confirm if the European Deaf Football Championships are cancelled as the minimum of 4 teams hasn’t been met which means there will now be a qualifying round for the Deaflympics. Only 1 European team can qualify for the Deaflympics in 2025. We are waiting for more information and will update you as soon as we know. GBDF wish Ryan Lewis all the best moving forward and we will let you know soon regarding trials for the GB Deaf Women’s Football Squad. Thank you.

GBDF Statement
GBDF are saddened by the news that former player, Gemma Wiseman passed away a few weeks ago. Gemma represented GB Deaf Women’s Football at the Euros 2011, Deaflympics 2013 and World Cup 2016 winning 3 bronze medals. GBDF would like to express our condolences to Gemma’s family and friends.
Sharon Hirshman, GBDF vice chair - “Gemma started with GB as a new player and was an enthusiastic character wanting to learn all the time. She became friends with many players in the squads. Her determination, smiling and laughing nature helped her to become a better player. It was lovely to get to know Gemma as she strived through all the competitions and events. We are sad to know she is no longer with us but we will always cherish our memories of her. Fly high Gemma. Always thinking of you.”
