Susan from Castlebar has recently started working as a volunteer driver for the Irish Cancer Society bringing patients to and from their appointments – and now she is also taking on a !
A teacher who is working remotely during coronavirus, Susan said she wanted to help out in her community during the pandemic.
“I wanted to help people who needed it and I am delighted to be able to help with the Irish Cancer Society by bringing patients to and from chemotherapy. The service is a really practical support for people at a difficult time,” she said.
Susan is taking on the Marathon in a Month challenge along with hundreds of others nationwide to raise funds to help support those affected by cancer and their families. You can join her at https://marathoninamonth.cancer.ie/
