Hi Friends!! It has been awhile since I have posted! I have lots of new fun stuff to share with you, I have added two new machines to my sewing arsenal…embroidery machines!! I have been having a blast learning how to not only operate them but also the software to create my own designs. I have been making patches, these cute little mug rugs and personalized baby bibs so far and have discovered I am totally in love with embroidery. Stay tuned for more!

Clark County Recycled Arts Festival

It's time for my favorite arts festival, I think this is my fifth year attending! I will be set up in my usual spot trying to beat the heat and sell my wares. We are officially part of the Portland Rose Festival now! It's going to be a great time!

The Recycled Arts Festival is located at Esther Short Park in the heart of downtown Vancouver, WA.

Hello!!!!
It's been awhile!! I have spent most of the last year focusing on my job at Fred Meyer, which is paying off...I worked as a cashier to begin, became the Night Person in Charge after only four months and am now the Men's Lead, responsible for all major functions in the Men's Department! All my sewing, tailoring, and merchandising knowledge is actually being utilized on the job and I love that!! What I don't love is not having the energy to motivate myself to work at home, so I took a bit of a break. I recently took part in this year's Metamorphose competition, which put me behind my machine and I realized how much I miss sewing! I got in my zone, pulled an all nighter the night before the show, made it to work for an eight hour shift and on time for the first show that I wasn't still sewing moments before my girl hit the runway! It felt amazing to get it done since i had given my notice to drop out but just couldn't live with quitting so I called right back and rescinded my request. Then pulled up my bootstraps and got to work, and managed to get a win!! Judge's Choice Runner Up, or second place in layman' terms! Felt so good I couldn't wait to get back in there and create more magic, I will share pics as I make new stuff but for now, here is my winner! Costume Di Venezia, based off of the Carnivale celebration in Venice, Italy's traditional costumes.
