Huntsville Council PTA

The mission of PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Our council serves as an advisor and resource of communication for support, information and assistance. The Huntsville Council of PTAs is an umbrella organization for the 43 PTA units found within the Huntsville City Schools. As a Council, we can come together for training, for programs, for support, and for advocacy for our nearly 12,000 PTA members across the city.

Easy way to let Senator Britt, Senator Tuberville and your District Representative know where you stand on education funding.
There is a draft message, or make your own. Takes a minute to complete.

The long-term success of our nation depends on quality federal investments in our education system. Lawmakers in Congress are currently deciding how much money to spend on programs that support family engagement, digital access, academic services, child safety, youth mental health, students with disabilities, Title I schools, and more.

Unfortunately, many of these programs are at risk of being underfunded or eliminated entirely in the next fiscal year. Congress needs to hear from parents like you, reminding them that children and families MUST remain a priority.

Take action TODAY to urge your members of Congress to fully fund critical programs that support children, families, and schools! Together, we can ensure all children have access to adequately funded schools that improve their overall well-being and allow them to reach their full potential and thrive.

This is so important. Some schools mandate you complete it in order to receive any scholarship money from the school, even if you don't think your student will qualify for government money. The FAFSA criteria has changed so more middle class families might qualify when they did not in the past due to income.
