Our first CE and Connect is this Friday, and what a great topic to end Su***de Prevention Week!

​Su***de ranks as one of the top three causes of death for school-aged people in the United States. Despite the various su***de prevention initiatives, the number of youth who die by su***de continues to rise. Notable differences exist between those who merely attempt su***de and those who complete it. This presentation will utilize post-mortem analysis to take a brief look at approximately 10,000 youth su***des. Statistics will show listeners the various precipitating circumstances that are more likely to lead to su***de, as well as red flags in suicidal youth. Additionally, this presentation will explore ways clinicians may better treat youth who struggle with suicidality.
