We've hit our capacity. When I came up with the number It really felt like it was a huge way away but we've got there with a few days spare! Thank you so much to everybody for your enthusiasm in our theme and for all the shares and love you've lavished on it!

We've had a think and there is now a very limited number of extra spaces available. They have to be limited so that our amazing makers can create your extras in time and so I can get them dyed and to you ready for you to open come December.

We have Instalment and Pay in Full options available but please keep to one or the other per order and only check out Advent in it's own separate order from other in stock yarn. This really helps when we come to organise things!

We also had a brilliant customer let us know our checkout button wasn't working properly. This is now fixed, it was for some reason white text on white background so not missing but pretty invisible! We're really sorry if you went to order and couldn't find it. We do have some left as we post this at 10pm Thurs BST

We've gone all out this year on Base choices including more than ever!

We also have some new to us bases that we can't wait to dye up for you.

On Fi*****ng weight you have a choice of:

✨Luxe, our Silk/Alpaca/Cashmere base of dreams

✨Baby Llama, a llamas first haircut! This is the softest and such a luxury base.
✨Sock 75/25 with a touch of nylon for strength

On DK the choice is:
✨DK Merino/Nylon Same as our Sock, just thicker!
✨DK Silver same fibre content as the Gold Sparkle just thicker and in Silver.

We also have our first ever Laceweight offering in the Suri Silk Lace which is Baby Suri and Silk Fluff and a whopping 120m per each 20g skein. We can't wait to hold this with something for that beautiful halo and it definitely offers something different to the usual advent bases.

Which are you most excited about?

✨Miniskein Yarn Bases✨

Last year, we stuck to just two bases, but this year we've expanded, like a lot 😆

This year there is 7 different options of Mini available for the 24x20g advent including some beautifully luxurious bases we've been testing and some fun new ones too.

(Each of the images comes from our suppliers. We have edited them to the best of our ability so you can see the texture, twist or sparkle of the yarn to help you decide.)

We have standard bases we carry all the time like:

But we also got our hands on some Luxe options, these bases will be going into the shop on full skein options soon, but we couldn't leave such beautiful yarns out of our Advent line up:

✨Luxe - This is the most luxurious of them all, this blend of Alpaca Silk Cashmere is just pure joy in a skein!

✨100% Baby Llama - It's a Llama's first haircut! & therefore, the softest a llama is ever going to be, 🦙

Now for the Fun! 🎈We've gone for two out of the box options that we think will be perfect with our colour palette and also bring the Retro vibe:

✨Rainbow Fairylights Multicolour Donegal Nep - It's a mouthful, but this is a multicoloured tweed yarn and its sooo fun! It reminds us of the kitschy flower shaped 1960s fairylights my Grandma used to have in her living room 💕

✨Suri Alpaca Lace -This is so fresh it's not on the first slide, but it had to be included in the lineup! This gorgeous laceweight Suri Alpaca Silk base is a whopping 120m per 20g mini and it would be so perfect held with another yarn to knit pure advent magic.

We've done our best to make Advent as easy to mix & match as possible so here's how it works.

We have four options, you can have One, Two, Three or all Four or multiples of each, it doesn't matter!

Want 24x Minis + Full Skein + Project Bag? Great! That's three listings in your cart.

Just want a Project bag? No problem head to the Optional Extras listing.

The only thing we ask is if you have multiple items please try to stay to one payment method so your whole order is either Pay in Full OR Instalments
This really helps us keep track of who we're invoicing and for what.

Shipping isn't mentioned in the slides but we have Enhanced Shipping Options available for both UK & International Customers The standard options appear way cheaper. This is because our usual practise (for international) is to take an initial payment then look for the lowest price at the time of shipping with the most accurate weight of your items, give you a couple of shipping options then Paypal invoice for the additional (if there is any) once we've emailed you with the days correct price.

The more expensive option reflects the rough usual cost after doing this but we may still need to add additional cost (usually only a few pounds) once we've checked and given you the options. This is why it's super helpful to have an up to date email for international customers but also for those paying in instalments as it allows us to keep you in the loop with your order as we go through the various stages of completing it.

All advent items are pre-order and International will ship at the end of October and UK orders in Early November.

Inspired by Jenna and her exploits in the musical Waitress we've come up with this limited edition pie colourway, introducing Marshmallow Mermaid Pie!

Jenna is a waitress at a diner but has a talent for creating amazing pies. Her story is so inspiring and the music is written by the legend, Sara Bareilles whom I was lucky enough to see perform the role in London just before Lockdown.

When we jumped on Pie day I knew we'd have our inspiration!

✨Introducing Dawn ✨

We have been keeping this secret for a while but it's finally time to reveal our collaboration with Rachel of

Rachel is a fantastic UK based knitwear designer whose dreamy stranded colourwork and innovative patterns have always captivated us! ✨

She's worked her magic again in this beautiful sweater design using our Sock base in Carbon and Second Hand Rose. ✨

Carbon is a multifaceted grey steel tonal that leans blue which looks stunning next to the grubby pink of Second Hand Rose. The brown speckles lend themselves to lots of neutral tones and if you look carefully, it even has a touch of steely blue which makes it the perfect companion to Carbon.

We gave Rachel carte blanche on colourways, bases and the design brief and she knocked it out of the park with all three 😍 She also uses an interesting technique whereby the colourwork is worked on every alternate row making this a fun and compelling project.

☀️The kits for Dawn will be going Live TONIGHT (Friday 16th Feb) at 8PM

☀️We have a limited number of kits READY TO SHIP and once these are sold out we'll open the pre-order listing for a limited time.

☀️This is a Size inclusive pattern that has 3" of ease built in to the sweater. The Smallest size is 33.75cm and goes up to a 71cm bust. We've given you a rundown of the kits for each size to make it super easy to pick the right kit for you.

Thank you so much for all your support of our little yarn business in 2023. It's been a tricky one coming off of Maternity with our daughter in the summer and balancing new school runs, late night dyeing sessions and two small humans. I've felt pretty exhausted most of the time and feel like the business hasn't had the best of me.

I'm hoping for more balance in 2024, but holding my own boundaries has never been my strong suit. I'm implementing extra planning at this end of the year so we know exactly what is coming, fingers crossed this should allow for plenty of growth this year. We have some really fun things coming, i'm just hoping I can do it all justice!
