Well I gotta say that Spring Park Coffee is NOT exactly hidden. Also it’s not actually in Jacksonville.
Spring Park Coffee is in Green Cove just south of the Main Street Area RIGHT on US 17. As far as being “hidden”, just ask anyone in GCS and they will tell you where it is.
You will get a great cup of coffee, or tea, or certain ice cream and other frozen drinks.
SPC also offers a tasty breakfast, muffins, and cookies selection. I’ve never had lunch there so I cannot speak for any of those options.
The feel of the place is funky cool with a few really cool employees as well as your stereotypical “baristas” that are a little arrogant and well, typical... just stop by there anyways and enjoy what do have to offer for the good.
Just south of the Julington Creek bridge on SR 13 (San Jose Blvd) is a new little favorite of mine.
Twisted Compass Coffee is a cool little place that gives those in the St Johns Fruit Cove area an option to the Starbucks that has ruled the area for years.
On this particular Monday the place was packed, even the outdoor patio was full.
I’m looking forward to the future of this place.
