In that time the KNCC has travelled from Northampton to Glasgow. well 2023 will celibate all the work the KNCC has done over the past 10 years to promote the sport within the Caribbean community. The KNCC are planing to host a VLB tournament. As many of you may know i have held several of my own outdoor bowls comps. As the C19 has tried hard to shut our season down, but instead i want to create a KNCC VLB Event. I want to offer a cash prize with players paying an entry fee. If this is something that you would like to get involved with please let me know as it shouldn't be that hard or long to create k could host the fist event with as little as 16 players. The KNCC has now teamed up with the Bowls Leicestershire Youth Academy to do what they do best and create a new and exciting events for Bowlers, clubs and spectators. The KNCC 18s-30s Open pairs Party championship is born and planned for the 17.7.21. Mixing music from top Djs like Djweng Weng Jason Brooks Glent Ramjamradio, food and dont forget our sponsor AJ & Sonz Rum Tump Punch from Anthony Tump Joseph. This is an event where players and spectators can all enjoy the party but still compete competitively for the Title. We are looking for forward thinking bowls clubs with space and the willingness to push this great sport into a new but positive and exciting new direction. In 1966 the core sport of lawn bowls was left out of the commonwealth games for the first and only time in the games history. The reason for this was because the country that held the games had no facilities to play the sport. The host country was Jamaica. Fast forward 47 years to 2013 when Andrew Newell held the first of the KNCC championships to help raise the profile of the sport within the Caribbean community. Now with a KNCC championship held every year since and opening the first lawn bowls green in Jamaica and the Caribbean, we fast forward to 2018! Where Jamaica has now been officially named as a development member of world bowls ltd. Jamaica will be sending 2 bowlers to the Gold Coast commonwealth games Mervyn Edwards and Andrew Newell for the first time in history. How about that for an achievement?
