I smeared off a painting that had some legs but it started to get over worked. So lo and behold through the grit of a lost battle she emerged. Not sure how to reproduce win-ds like this, but this is one way I like finding it, not planning it.

Finishing up a few commissions for the "Seekers" series has brought me back to exploring the fascinating world of my wet-into abstract figurative painting. It's a bit of a different dance with the medium – a constant interplay between initial brush strokes and how the paint itself decides to settle. There's a wonderful sense of letting go, where I set the composition in motion, and the paint takes over, guiding the details and the final form.

a warm up 🔆
A detail. There will always be an urge to move that paint around until it gets tired of being so viscous.

A whispered farewell, born from what once was a single brushstroke carved through paint's silken embrace. A form emerged, a silent echo of a connection held close. It captured the fleeting magic of those long summer dusks, gone too soon, but forever etched in memory's warmth. It's a goodbye, yes, but one tinged with love, a bittersweet farewell to a memory forever cherished.

A thing that stood out for me during all the fairs including the one that I partook in was when you had a contrast or fill like in a music arrangement that allowed the eyes to shift and reprocess, sometimes a difficult dance follow on your attractions. My work on the right, playing off of intricate works, thank you for the great times and opportunity last week, big things to come!

With opposing forces pushing and pulling in different directions a seesaw cannot remain balanced forever, the world is constantly changing and evolving. We cannot know love without also knowing loss. And we cannot experience peace without also knowing conflict.
