Push up challenge with an island guru. I banged out about 25-30 push ups right before this and this guru said “drop em” he did a smooth 50 plus no sweat. Respect and hope I have this kind of strength for life.

Following the dead lift, 40 yard dash, and bench press I was pretty 💀. If I can go back I would have kept going on the pull ups as much as possible without stopping. Once I stopped I felt fatigue hit me like a ton of bricks and I started cramping in my arm and abs… This is in 90 degree heat and I was well hydrated with plenty of lytes on board.
This event was one of the most difficult physical endeavors I have participated in for a while. The deadlift event was one that I was dreading prior to but it ended up being one of my best events. With the support and encouragement from I was able to push through and not quit! Unity creates power, let all lift up and help each other through the dead weight.
Happy May Day! May is my favorite month of the year for many reasons. This month I’ll be Skiing🎿, Celebrating 🎉Dominating, Fighting 💪🏾, Relaxing 😎 and Cherishing every moment.

James is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and Exercise Physiologist.
James is the founder and owner of JLucas Nutrition, which offers comprehensive, realistic nutrition advice and meal plans to help you to optimize on your health, wellness and athletic performance. James has several years of experience in the field of nutrition. James graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Nutrition for Sport & Exercise. He also has his master’s in Exercise Physiology from Southern Connecticut State University. He completed his dietetic internship at Yale New Haven Hospital and worked for Yale Hospital as an oncology dietitian. He has experience working with cancer patients, athletes and active individuals and focuses on developing a tailored approach to your individual nutrition needs. James is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), as well as the dietetic practice group Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN). He is also a member of The Certified Practitioners in Sports Dietetics Association (CPSDA). James currently resides in the Dallas/ Fort Worth metroplex.
